Thumbs down Did anyone make it inside Avalon?

I got there at around 11:45 pm, and didn't!
Seemed like the whole friggin world was there.
At around 2:30 am, when I was really close to the front, they officially closed the doors, and told everyone in line to leave.
I saw Brian (kid nyce) in line not too far behind me, but it looked like he bounced a little earlier.
I went to some event downtown, and then came back around 4:45 am, and people were still trying to get in, but weren't allowed.
Similar story for anyone else here? Did anyone go to Arc afterwards?

A friend of mine said the doors opened at 11:15 pm, and he got in at that time. Dammit, I'm usually an early bird, but I got stuck with some stupid stuff to do before heading out.

I hope it's not going to be like this every weekend.

At least there were lots of hotties to be seen

...

arrived around 2:40 lucky that a
friend had a reservation for one
of the three "sky boxes" rooms
overlooking the main floor...

my only wish was for someone like
j00f to be there and for the
sound system to be clear & crisp

this venue has all the elements
necessary for a fantastic party,
from the layout point of view;
including a neat open garden

however; the sound system needs
to be tuned or fixed somehow; as
sounds get distorted often

lasers would definitely help as
well as more soothing lights
creating a more enjoyable visual
experience >> stellar designs
would do a formidable job there

an interesting element is that as
you walk around the 1st floor at
some point youll find yourself
right behind a transparent wall
facing the dj booth and the rest
of the floor

@ very least 2 amazing parties
should take place there this year,
binging back the limelight fun
nights of the early 90's . . .

Maybe they should do advanced tickets, like the Made @ Roxy events.

Who was playing that it was so packed?
is this club 18 or 21?

Didn't matter who was playing. People just wanted to check out this new club
And I guess there is something about the place that brings the older folks back as well.
If the promotion is any similar, watch for similar things to happen at Spirit and Crobar.

btw, Saeed & Palash and Seb Fontaine were the headliners.

yeah... that is what it was. limelight was a legend maybe moreso than twilo... so it brought a lot of those people back in addition to hoardes of new people looking for something new. not so many ppl there for the music that night i am sure...

I got there around 1:10am every 1 was crowed in front and there were lines 7-8 people wide streching down both sides of the block.

When I first walked up every 1 was just walking up to the front and then jumping online, so I did the same. I was about 15 people from the front @ that point: thought I was in luck! Then the fire marshall showed up and no 1 was being let in for the next half hour or so. Finally after they left the doorman felt bad for some of the people online who had been waiting so he handed out about 20 reduced admission ticks and rushed us in then locked off the line again.

Like colibri said, "the venue has all the elements necessary for a fantastic party, from the layout point of view", but the sound system needs a good over-hall. Better yet they should just leave it out front by the curb.

I'm not really sure who was spinning, but the music was decent. All in All it was a good night and I'm glad I went.
