residency .vs. label&travel (+optional poll!)

Would you rather have a/many club residency(ies) or be jet around the world by your record label??

I just wanna get an idea of what some of you think is best. Even though it comes down to personal preference.
Which is better pay for the involved work?
How do clubs and labels judge how much you're worth per gig or per hour???

Seems to me like it'd be more fun to travel the world, seeing differant people, exploring the differant countries scenes...

Well you kind of have to get some residencies at home before you can fly all over the world in most cases. I would love to travel the world.

The amount you are paid is based on how big you are, how big of a crowd you'll draw, etc. Andother huge thing is producing. A budy of mine has opened for Tiesto, and Sasha amung lots of otehr huge DJs. He gets paid like 500 - 1000 for opening for a big dj. He said that if he puts out a track thats decent, the gets played so people around will atleast vaugly reconize ur name, your salary will automaticially increas like up to 5 times.
