Savina Yannatou.

I first heard of her on NPR a couple months ago and downloaded some of her stuff. Very diverse, very eclectic, very good. I'm gonna buy her new album, Terra Nostra, soon. Her vocals and songs, to me, sound like they would be perfect for vocal-trance. I'm sure a skilled remixer could do just that. On their own, her voice and her music are really . . . evocative.

sfakianakis is a kinda 'heavy' in a smokey, back-room sorta way (i like him tho )

if you like him you may also like Giorgos Margaritis

What Persian artists do you know... I have some Ebi CDs. I love "Khorshid Khanom" by Ebi. My uncle Ali gave me a whole LOT of this music and I like some of it.

Can anyone give me some Greek artist names here? I have an album called "Super Best Greek Hits 2003" by Various Artists and I like tracks 01 (Despina Vandi - Gia (Extended Version) (OK but, kind of bland on repeated listens), 02 (Nikos Kourkoulis - Tosa Dilina (Remix) (I LOVE THIS ONE!), 08 (Eleni Karousaki - Na Pas (Extended Version) (I love this one too!), and 09 (Gheorghiadis - Na Cleo, Na Cleo) (an OK track) off of it.

I have another problem here as well. I'm running English Windows XP Pro and have downloaded some tracks with Greek characters in their file names, as well as their ID3 tags. The characters are scrambled/jumbled/not showing up correctly in either the file names or ID3 Tags. I have not altered any information regarding these files yet. They are laying in my Incoming directory for now. How can I fix this?

Thanks! All information is greatly appreciated.

I'm looking for Greek music of all three types. Can you make three separate lists with each type of artist in them? Thanks!

very true. i prefer the "classics" in greek music. but hey, to each their own.
