update on CD deck revolution...

So after many years of ignoring any and all possibilities of ever DJing with CDs no matter what new technology came out, I finally decided that I had to go test out the Pioneer CDJ1000MK2s at my local Guitar Center since I have read so much recently about how they can nearly mimic what you can do with a turntable.

Regardless of the fact that I was pretty impressed with the CDJ1000s, I talked to the sales guy and he told me 2 things which people here might be interested in:

- Denon is coming out with a newer model of their CDJ equivalent that is supposed to address the problem that when doing aggressive scratching, things begin to sound a bit too "digital".

- The other thing that he told me was that the Technics turntable with spinning platter was already being shipped at that they sould have them by mid-October. I assume that this was the unit that had been posted up in the forums a million times.

Both of these tidbits of info made me want to wait a few more months to see if I can get more for my $$$ as prices shift as new models come out.

I agree with you, but I'm ready to start saving up for those sweet technics CD-dex. ..pure sweetality!!
