do clubs stay open out there? i heard it was like jersey and thigns close at 2? that cant be true...

Most clubs in LA close at 2am, in accordance with liquor laws in the state. However there are a few clubs that have permits allowing them to stay open later, such as Spundae and Giant (or is it Avalon now?). Spundae remains open til 4am, Giant has been known to let the DJ play as long as they wish... 5am+. Then there are the Afterhours clubs, which open at 2-3am and run til 9am or later.

clubs in vegas stay open longer most clubs stay open till 4 - 7...the house of blues events stay open till 5 - 6 then afterhours till whenever ... back in the day Utopia in vegas didnt get started till 1- 2 am and would last till 9am mayb longer .. you can sit out side the upstairs patio area where they had house music playing all the time and you could see the sun coming up everytime and people laying on the sides trashed on E lol

Revibe, Mayan, Orion, Mobius, House of Blues are open till Between 2:00-3:30am

reason why clubs in vegas are open so late is because there is no restriction on alcohol sales timewise.

so california cant sell alcohol past 2 then? i dont care since i dont drink much anymore, but in new york, the clubs tend to die after the bar closes.

Whether clubs die or not just depends on the night. Usually the DJ determines if the crowd stays. Spundae at 1015 here in SF lasts until 5-6 at the earliest typically, sometimes a little earlier, sometimes later if the crowd is good and the DJ is willing to keep going.

THere's other clubs that stay open late...and even some that open at 4-6am to cater to the crowds leaving from the big clubs....and alcohol is served once again at 6am.
