Dancing Dude Who Here Can Fn **dance** Like Theres No Tomorrow???!!!

LETS SEE :

1) who posts here and can fn get into the music that the dj is playing so deeply that they're dancing like there's no tomorrow?

2) what kind of "moves" do you use out on the dance floor?

3) are you a "passive dancer" or an all-out "ACTION DANCER"?

*raises hand*

around the breaks there are no real "moves" but just an incredible mayhem including jumping, throwing hands to all directions and screaming my head off.
other than that I try to always evolve and bring in new dance styles

a dance we have here in melbourne called the melbourne shuffle, i do. well at least try to.

If trance is playing, I will definately bring my Photon Lights and play hide and seek with them. As well as mix in some liquid. If the music really gets good, I'll startjumping around and add some key break dance moves while using the lights. Just last week, I had this Japanese native come up to me; he gave me the piece sign and shook my hand...He thought I was awsome . Maybe i'd have to bring my video camera next time and make a short MPEG of me.

i can dance. i can dance to anything but i feel breaks and drum and bass the most. sometimes techno. i find trance really really hard to dance to.

I am a terrible trancer... but I don't give a shit.

it's true. Trance is the least dancable genre and yet it was mostly with Trance Music that I could get into the state of a "natural high" (Im talking about real actual HIGHS where you actually feel as if your "soul" jumps out and unites with..ahem..i think u know what i mean). But it's all due to the enormous breaks and climaxes, not so much because of the nevernending dancing itself. The constant dancing highs are different and more likely to achieve in techno / House where you unite with all the components of the music and try to get as much into it as possible. It's all about the flow, wiht no big "expactations" like in Trance...I hope u know what I mean

kind of... other genres makes me move my body so i feel the music even more and i feel like i am part of the music. i cant get into trance that way sort of for the reasons you described.

it's due to the different basic concepts, the approaches of tranc eon the one hand and Techno/House on the other. Trance tracks consist of the one breakdown/melody while the rest is mereley a necessity, a means for packaging the "core". Like movies that a re based on a single plot with dialogues/other scenes to only lead to it, not stand on their very own. Therefore getting into the music constntly is harder. Now techno and House are more based on the concept of keeping you moving as long as possible, with rare "ups and downs" for the sake of motivating again and again.
I like both concepts, I feel them both.

I'll dance to trance!

i mostly just jump around with my hands in the air, like everyone else.
liquid is pretty easy.
I suck at boxing but it looks amazing when people do it right

i think house and its derivatives are more bass driven while trance is melodic. the bass driven nature goes better with the way that i dance.

I used to be in a clubbing dance company in SA for year back in 2000, was fun.

Love dancing, prefer the more energetic uplifting trance and hard trance

it's in the hips and legs... the rest of your body will follow.

Let's not forget psytrance eh... busting a move to some good psy is golden, although I do agree that traditional trance isn't too danceable (it tends to involve much more fist-pumping than footwork, anyway).

I'm a techno/DnB whore on the dancefloor myself... although I'm not going to try and say I'm any good at it.

i think seeing someone who is good at dancing to dnb is one of the most beautiful forms of dancing i have ever seen.

Which kinda dancing are we talkin' about here... two-step, or clown-step?

Posted by skream on Sep-23-2003 17:12:

dnb gets me all kinds of crazy dancing, breaks makes me wanna do some poppin n lockin, but god damn trance. I love just moving to trance, bouncing around, or bobbin my head, liquid's fun too.
