Judge Jules Vs FatboySlim Essential Relief (thats some cool stuff!!)

Jules sucked @ essential relief, he was spinning like 50's, 60's and 70's tune with a bass beat added.
Fatboy rocked however although his last set against Fergie was dire.

My fav essential mix is about 5 years old, possibly older
it was Pete Tong in the Radio 1 studio and in that mix he played
William Orbit - Barbers Adigo for strings.
that was that tracks 1st play ever and WOW did that one start a revolution.
Also in that mix he played Delerium's Silence, the original mix.
I still have that essential mix on Audio cassette somewhere lol

I liked all of the Essential Mixes Oakey did although I like Ibiza and Gatecrasher the most. Other ones I like are PvD @ Home in London and Sasha @ Gatecrasher. Most EM's can't miss...I like them all.

Best EM's:

-Parks and Wilson
-PvD @ Home
-Oakenfold- the GOA mix '94
-any Digweed EM
-Rampling '95

Worst EM's:

-Every Fergie set
-Judge Jules @ God's kitchen 2000

you mean the ferry corsten remix??
if so, i didn't think that song was that old, maybe 2 years or so
(and i know that the original is very old)

Oakey at home in ibiza

very good essential mix but i don't really like Oakey. it was during the time he was doing good stuff.

I think his mix was released Spring 1999...

Barber's 'Adagio for Strings' was written in 1936..

Also, since Delerium's Silence was in there (originally released in fall 99', Tiesto's mix in 00'), i'd say it's 99/00...

Still, a classic...

The ferry corsten remix was released on sale to the general public in 1999, making it appear to be 2 years old.
However it was 1st concieved around 2 years earlier by Orbit with ferry doing the remix.
it took 2 years for the track to make the impact that it did.
Binary finary's 1998 in'98 took the trance scene by storm, making trance less underground as such and Orbit's Adigo for strings started getting played again.
The 2 tracks being of the same genre.
Pete Tong played loads of stuff 4 years ago that did not really make it big until Binary Finary 1998 and Orbit's adigo for strings.
Like Delerium's silence. how many ppl had heard that one before it was Released as the airscape remix ?
It first came out on an Album by Delerium called Karma which was released in 1997, Heavens Earth from the same album making it big, with remixes by Matt Darey and Key South.

Anyway what i am trying to say is a lot of the tracks around are a lot older than is known.

Peace
