Arrow Your first Flight with TRANCE

What was your FIRST TRANCE SONG You heard and where (Radio/Club)...

In other words, if you remember, wich was the song that impulse you to say to somebody: 'What type of music is that song?' And then somebody or something sent by GOD answered to you with an unforgettable words: THIS IS TRANCE

In my case, It was Delerium - Silence (Tisto Remix) 2000.

I listened on a record from a friend but the CD was catalogued as HOUSE

So I have to search from some info on Internet and IT gave me the answer...

I don't know if it qualifies as trance per se, but Way Out West - Ajare (Way Out West Remix).

Posted by robbyradz on Sep-25-2003 23:49:

It all started with Crystal Method - Trip like i do, and busy child.
I know it's not trance... but ever since then i've been hooked to techno and trance.

A friend recomended Paul Oakenfold - Perfecto Presents Another World, so I went out and bought it. I loved the cd and saw there was 3 or 4 Tiesto remixes, so i checked out Summerbreeze...and since then I have been addicted.

I was looking around on the internet and came across the group Trance[]Control...not knowing what trance even was, I downloaded 'atomic dance explosion'...a short 3 minute song but there was something about it, I couldn't tell what it was but I knew I loved it. I knew that after that I had to seek out more of this 'trance music' and thus my addiction grew...

Paul Van DYK -TWILO 99

Don't know if this'd count as "trance"...

Ruki Vverh - 1,2,3,4,5

Actually, the first time I heard trance was from the Danny Rampling Essential Mix 1993.11.20. I remember listening to it a whiles back. Oh boy, did it suck.

When I discovered TRANCE

OMG... I thought I was the only one who had had an awakening... where someone said, "This is Trance"!

Ok, it was the summer of 2000, and we had traveled from Dallas, TX to Fresno, CA (via plane) to attend CyberFest.

There we were, and we were in the main room... Christopher Lawrence, BT, and Paul Okenfold played... my jaw was dropped open... I was in AWE... completely OVERWHELMED by the music... Too much INPUT!

I turned to my husband, and I was like, "OMG, what the hell is this"... he replied, "This is trance"!

My heart was stolen... and from that point on... I was on a mission to bring that sound... that trance... to Dallas, TX.

In December 2000, we threw our first rave... when raves happened here in Dallas...

In March 2001, we started EpiK-Entertainment. We book outstanding local trance DJ's... and we focus on bringing in unique talent from England... the headliners we have brought so far are: Daniel Bailey, Eddie Halliwell, Rob Tissera, and Adam Sheridan.

Now... I am securing myself as the North American booking agent for many of the DJ's I have brought over from the UK.

*To learn more about me/us... www.epik-entertainment.com.*

Trance... changed my life. Thank god. Trance is my life. I can only hope that someday we can move to where trance reigns supreme... to the UK.

ayla part 2. What year was that?

Posted by caddyshack on Sep-26-2003 04:07:

oakenfold was my favorite in the beginning. but he is prog trance i think. pvd - another way (pvd unreleased demo mix) changes my mind about oakenfold, and later in the same set synaesthesia. it had so much more life then oakenfold's style

The Mortal Kombat soundtrack.

Traci Lords - Control (Juno Reactor Remix)

I would love to make a similar prog version someday.

FFS, is there a rule saying someone must ask this every single week?

Posted by skream on Sep-26-2003 08:31:

my experiences started with Lunatic Calm - It evolves on its own

i actually used to downright hate trance.

It's hard to remember back to the early 90's, but one that does spring to mind, and would still be a killer track if played at a club today is:

Jungle High - Samura (Fire of Love)

Unbelievably melodic and well put together track.
