Halo Combat Evolved

I got Halo CE final and in my opinion this game is WAY overhyped.

game is a resource hog. i never thought i can get sick thsi quickly. i wish they updated it since they "had" alot of time.

i feel the same. iirc the videos from macworld showed alot more detail than this pc version as well. i think i may have to look for the first few videos just to make sure. i remember there were non enemy creatures walking around halo, and the waterfalls looked alot more spectacular

That is the main reason why I dont buy games anymore and just download them, I dont feel like most of developers care about us, and port games just for the sake of porting and getting more money, well FUCK THEM!
The only games I will buy this year is Half-Life 2 & Call Of Duty .... and MAYBE Doom III.

fuck i was right, the older videos look slightly better and do have non-enemy creatures walking and running as a pack, which is awsome in the video i also noticed better detailed textures, especially on the ghost, and more lighting effects. from watching the video, had the option to use the Covenant's glowing blade, something thats not in the PC (and xbox?) version

It's weird looking at the older videos now, for example the video from Apple's 1999 Macworld, where Steve Jobs says "We are starting to see some great games come back to the MAC, but this is one of the coolest I've ever seen. This game is going to ship early next year, from Bungie, and this is the first time anybody has ever seen it, this is the first time they've debuted. So I'm very happy to welcome to stage... Jason Jones, who is the cofounder of Bungie, and the Halo project lead." then jason jones comes on stage and starts off with "Everything you are about to see, is being rendered in real time on Macintosh, using OpenGL"

Anyway I'm almost done with Halo single player, and I actualy enjoyed it. Thats hard for me to do, since I'm more of multiplayer person

its a good thing i downloaded this game cause the save/load function is starting to piss me off at certain times. but thats the only problem otherwise i like the game play.

man the new multiplayer stuff is fun, I love being able to fly the banshees and the new rocket warthogs are really cool, I don't like the fuel rod gun though, its pretty noobish

only fun part is the multiplayer

game sucks for PC. If they actually spent time changing it to suit the computer than just making it a port then it would be worth playing. other than that its a POS. good thing i didnt buy it.
ill stick to SoF2, CS,UT and ET on the sides.

Downloaded the game as I allready have it for XBOX. This is a dream come true. I downloaded the trainer for it and I'm having loads of fun with the environment freezer. Freeze the world, throw 40 grenades underneath a warthog, run up to the nearest hill, unfreeze the environment and watch the magic as the wartog gets airborn

Lol im gonna download it just to try that...


But seriously new games lack something that old games i bought Live for speed a few months ago, before that NFS5 and before that Falcon 4.0
