Question about New Years in MTL?

I am thinking of visiting Montreal for new years i was just wondering what is your guys opinon on new years there? lots of stuff to do? good fireworks?(was at the one in vancouver last year, horrible)

last time there was fireworks at NYE, it was for the year 2000...

don't expect fireworks.

As for parties, expect big events, held in big venues. After hours will have great line ups too to offer...

so if you want to party like 1999 errr 2004 then you know where to go
