Question Interested in (Symphonic?) Genre, what else is there?

Quick intro, I have been listening to electronic music for a year or two and got really interested in the last six months. I have been reading up on the subject and know a bit, visited a few pages that separated the general category into 120 genres and subgenres, and got quite a collection of tracks.

Here's the question bit. I really like the kind of music that is either syphony and/or piano with a bassline. Kind of like "DJ Shadow - Midnight in a Perfect World" but distanced a bit from the breakbeat style of DJ Shadow.

Anybody have some tracks for me to check out?

Well, if you've read up on your stuff, you should know about hybrid...The usually tend to sample piano and the Russian Symphony in their tracks...

I know they have a ton of recent stuff released, but I can't remember any tracks.

Older stuff you might want to check out:
-Hybrid-Remix and Additional Production by (Rmx LP)
-Rob D-clubbed to death (hybrid rmx)
-Jason sparks tracks
-Shuri-kan-niomi's dream
-Some tom middleton tracks

hope this helps

You've probably heard this but maybe not: William Orbit - Adagio for Strings (Ferry Corsten Remix)...awesome strings in this one.

Sure, Fusion... welcome to TranceAddict (holy time distortion ripple!)!

Glad you asked.

This area -- "orchestral techno" or "symphonic electronica" or "classical, electroacoustic dance music" (LOL!) is a speciality of mine... feel free to give my tracks a listen (URL is right below in yellow as my sig) and let me know if there's anything you fancy.
