Any 1 ordered from chemical lately and if so what has your
Hey Guys
Was just wondering if any 1 had ordered from chemical lately and if so how long there records had taken to arrive. I'm asking because lately my last few orders have been taking upto 3 weeks to arrive which is frustrating because i use to get them within a week. My last one was sent via sweden?!!, not sure what the go there is?.
Any 1 was just wondering

new route they are getting sent. Still coming fine, no problems with that yet, just taking alot longer to get here

As a result we will be switching back to our original providers ( Royal Mail ) this week, we are also reviewing some extra options for tracked international packages (these would come in the form of user select options in the checkout) these would be a guaranteed option and will be a faster service.
If anyone stongly disagree's that Swiss and Swedish post has been slower and they have in fact been faster, please forward this opinion to me [email protected] and we can look at including them in the user selectable options we are currently developing.

dont know bout u guys, but i've never found chemical to be all that customer friendly.
Their site designed definently sucks arse.
I usually order on a Sunday and get the records by friday no problems but Ive ordered on the 15th this month and its already the 30th... pissin me off. but they still rule.
Customer service has been okay... average really. Not outstanding. I have emailed them twice (with no reply) in regard to the fact that on any order I've had with 2 or more vinyls, they mysteriously add 1 penny to the total, and the order list doesn't add up. It's hard to notice unless you really look at it, but it's there. Also, I know it's only 1 penny, but it's the principle of the thing, and if they are doing this on every order it will definitely add up for them. So yeah, no response from them on that issue at all. Wankers.
Royal Mail always delivered within about a week to me in the USA, and I agree that lately their shipping has sucked hardcore... 2 - 3 weeks these days.

I havent used chemical for about 9 months but in the past they were spot on with their shipping and it always arrived within a week of the order being processed. Obviously this change to the shipping really stuffed their delivery times. oh well, even more reason to support the boys at home

tis a good point about supporting the local stores. My recent order fron chemical was placed mostly because of about 3 samplers they had that i couldn't find locally. 3 1/2 weeks later I got my records, about 1 1/2 weeks after those samplers were in stock at vinyl warning. I would have had the records sooner, at the same price and with much better service. not always going to be the case, but i'll at least ask vw if they can get stuff before I order from o/s again
yeah I was getting them in about five or six days and the last two orders with the sweden stamp on them have both taken two weeks exactly.

I think tune selection wise chemical is one of the best amongst the online stores
however if i order promo's from them and am waiting 3 weeks or so for them to arrive by the time they get
here i may aswell just buy them locally. So yeah i certainly aint ordering anything more of them till the
postage improves or goes back to what it was originally like.

and chemical are damn cheap. Today I picked up a double lp and the traffic CDS for $40 inc postage.
Juno = cheaper & faster.. though choice not as good... i.e Insigma - Avalon 4.25 as opposed to 6.somethingorother? Jose Amnesia = over 8 fuckingpounds on Chemical, in the words of John McEnroe "you CAN NOT be serious!!! (&we are definitely NOT luvin it!)... mr. juno delivers on weekends too.
VW = faster & cheaper & better & make your sets more rockin!!
