when doing graduel bass changeovers, how do you stop the kicks clashing?

hi, well how do u avoid this? whenever i do a gradual bass change over it sounds really messy and the kicks clash sometimes (by clash i mean one wil b really loud and the next one u wont hear at all) its really anoying me now cus its my biggest downfall. i cant just swap them really quickly all the time.

You could skip the gradual fadeovers on some tunes and just quickly
fade down the bass on the outgoing and fade in the bass on incoming
when the tune changes phrase, it should work pretty niftly on most tracks.

I'm finding that if I wait for a nice 'transition' element in the track that's in the 'forefront' as in the one people can hear the most, like a snare roll or something of the like and if I just cut it out after beat 4 and in before the 1, it sounds sweet. Like *really* really good.
