Worst way to break up?

I'd put this in a poll but nobody would read it, so - Discuss!

A) E-mail
B) Chat program
C) Answering Machine

I think email is the worst. It's totally impersonal and it gives the person no chance to respond to what you are saying. Gutless!

Actually, my asshole friend (well, actually, just misogynistic) told me that he's broken up with girls while they were in the back seat of his car. One of them got so mad that she ripped off the piece that lifts the seat so people can get in the back. Don't know if it's true, but it's a funny story, and that piece is missing.

So, come to think of it, e-mail and IM/chat are probably the worst in terms of being just incredibly fucking lame, but there are some other situations I can think of that would be worse emotionally:
1. Immediately after sex.
2. In a pickup bar, while staring at another [hot] girl/guy.
3. Immediately after the other person proposes.
4. On the altar, right in place of the words "I do"
5. In the back seat of a car!

This could be none of my business, but I'm curious, what was his reason?

It's just that, most people I know, or at least me personally, unless the breakup was a really messy one, I would -want- to see them under those circumstances.

i tottaly agree.. i've broken up with guys but in person.. my ex did breake up with me thorugh the email and hoenstly when i look at it now he had no courage and diddnt care (but then again our relationship started thorugh email lol)

i dont think i would have the heart to break up with a guy on email.. respeond sure.. but not do the actual break up

I definatly think that anything but in person is bad. It's especially bad when they let you think everything is okay and but then when your talking to them on night on aim...they just lay it on ya. Then a week later you go to a website that they frequent and only go cause they suggest it...when you are on the website you find out that they were telling everyone else that they didn't really have anything with you to begin with, and they are planning a date with this other chic.....I guess cause thats about the worst I've experience...I think its bad....especially because its with a whole audience...and everyone is making comments on the break up...it should be personal.
The brownies and simpson video....that just sucks ass...that is the worst of all time....and when you are sick on top of it all!!
