When you go to a club are you just looking to pick up girls?

Or are you there to enjoy the music and/or have a good time with mates.

askmen.com has an article on this

Posted by biznology on Oct-02-2003 01:31:

umm just did this, last week seeing Tall Paul. it was ok, but her friend did start complaining about the bass - actually Tiesto - Traffic. i had an alright time, but there is something a bit more entertaining about going with your guy friends to scope the scene.

then again you have someone to dance with, and you dont have to worry about making an ass of yourself or 'picking the broad up' heh|

Shame / Disagreement

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck That!

Dude, if your on a message board asking this question then when she does actually go, then your going to have it on your mind the whole time. If she really likes u then she'll respect your opinion w/o a hassle. If she gives u a hard time then u have something to think about.

this is just my opinion. I've been in similar situations and I'm a jealous type so I'm totally not cool w/ it unless I'm there dancing/drinking w/ her. I just dont see a point in going to a club w/o your signif. other.

How in the hell are you going to pick up girls in North American clubs? The music is always way too lound to even ask some one their name, much less picking up a girl. Euro clubs are a lil diffrent, there is always a lot more socializing, but clubs are designed to promote that.

Note: I am assuming your girl wouldn't be going to one of those gay/lesbian bars where all you do is pick up chicks, no music or ne thing.

I totally agree with all that. I know how that jealous thing goes too...

I think Swamper made the best point. I have one thing to add to that: if she's going with friends, tell her you want to meet the friends she's going with. And make sure they're hot. Then you've got a backup plan in case your girl doesn't know how to behave herself.

P.S. the next person to say "discuss" is going to have me come to bash their head in with a garden hoe. Thanks.

No, the garden tool is actually spelled hoe. The word for whore is actually supposed to be "ho", but everyone kept fucking it up so eventually it got accepted as "hoe".

Uhmm perhaps so you can have lives with your friends outside of doing everything exclusively in the others' presence.

I'd get fucking sick of a girlfriend if she had to be everywhere and out with me all the time.

That's right.

I remember even maybe 6 years ago it was spelled as "ho."

I'm with you on this one.

It's like you're asking whether or not it's okay to control your girlfriends actions.

that's such a racist conotation, and I would have imagined that someone like you, just turned 21 would grow beyond petty cheap talk like that.

Learn that wife endangerement/beating or locking up isn't simply a middle eastern husband type of thing.

goodness .....

spanking for you

stop starting drama...its not a racist comment, its a fact. middle eastern men do not let their wife do anything without their consent. i dont think what i said is racist at all, plus my age has nothing to do with this. its like saying some natives worship the cow and eat dogs..but there wasnt anything racist about that

id seriously watch what you say before throwing the term "racist" around

don't be switching this around erin

ok MAYBE there's a bigger tendency to this kind of issue with middle eastern men, never the less; source of such behavior ( not letting wife/gf go out ) is jealous and fear, possibly even some historical beliefs that womens should not be trusted. And that, HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH COLOUR OR RACE.

Oh and can I also bring to your attention the fact you say " middle eastern men do not let their wife do anything without their consent." ...... how's that not racist or prejudiced or a global generalization of a group of population ?

pfff
ridiculous.

ps : who knows maybe the guy who started this thread is middle eastern, or almost, and considers also locking up his gf/future wife.....
