Regarding Evanescence - Hello (Gabriel & Dresden Bootleg)

Is it just me or does this really remind of a Minimalistix production...? Not that its bad, i reallt like melodic trance like this..

well dave said in the interwiev with Armin that all these bootlegs were never gonna be released because theres too much legal hazzle to deal with.. (those played in G&D Special mix in asot 117)

but i hope it would be released.. someone here who knows Evanescence?
show it to them, maybe they like it?

Posted by sash on Oct-04-2003 13:10:

maybe dave could leak us a copy?

exactly. it seems like there are too many problems in making remixes of US pop/rock artists. everything's about money, but no one cares that half of TA orgasmed when they heard some tune on the radio.

Big Ears

Can't let this song die just yet! Wow, i'm listening to it again... dark, sad, but yet classy and smooth. What a great fuckin remix of Evanescence, I had been thinking ever since Evanescence's songs first started being played on the radio "damn, these songs could be remixed into some incredible trance tunes" and booyah, here we go! Emphasize those vocals a bit more! I agree with speedracer, her voice is dark but beautiful and fits in so well with the mood of the remix. Gabriel and Dresden really mean that they mold their music around the original feeling of the tune, which I think is the best way that it can be done! Release please, I love this one!]

That piano loop is freakin devastating with that badass trance beat! The dark and suicidal lyrics are overturned with the waves of pure emotional atmosphere in the buildup... beautiful!

LYRICS

"Hello"

playground school bell rings again
rain clouds come to play again
has no one told you she's not breathing?
hello i'm your mind giving you someone to talk to
hello

if i smile and don't believe
soon i know i'll wake from this dream
don't try to fix me i'm not broken
hello i'm the lie living for you so you can hide
don't cry

suddenly i know i'm not sleeping
hello i'm still here
all that's left of yesterday

It's quite the departure from standard fare evanescence work... Dave & Josh did a bootleg cos they know there is a snowball chance in hell of it ever getting a proper...
