Mind One featuring Rena - Star For Me [ ATCR ]

Well the original has been quite a hit for armin van burren and tiesto in the past few months. ATCR had signed it back in july from torpedo records germany and had pulser do a vocal and a dub remix.

Unfortunatly its only the vocal mix at the moment out, looking at a december release coupled with the original instrumental on the flip. Plans are to release the dub on unreleased and in demand 4 in early 2004, but promos of that should be here in november.

I was a huge fan of the original instrumental, but knew in my heart a remix is what it needed to draw its best out. Pulser sticks to his trademark sound here, and joyfully he doesnt mis-use the vocal.

In a unique approach, he has actually used the main riff almost right away and it brings the track quickly up to speed. I cant help but think what he has in store if the main lead has came so soon. It all leads too a nice break in the track where pulser introduces rena's vocal on top of a beat which is sure to set dancefloors on fire.

The breakdown is fairly standard stuff, its the bassline thats introduced that sets me on fire. The main riff is kept and the track pulsates its way into your heart.

Fantastic remix that has brought it from the youth team, straight into the starting 11 !

That's what I didn't like about the first one. There was no intro to the tune, just leapt right into it. Always a bitch for me to mix properly.

Pulser remix is pretty nice

I just think the vocals add nothing at all to the track except make it sound cheesy as hell. The original instrumental still does it for me though a dub of the pulser mix would perhaps add value to it. Just don't think it contains the energy of the original!

Nah i dont really like the pulser remix that much. I mean its nice and all, but it doesnt really do anything but give the orignal a 'pulser makeover'. Original instrumental all the way!

Yep i'm with Stamper, Instrumental all the way, best mix of them all.

I prefer the Pulser Remix over the Instrumental, although the vocals are a bit cheesy. A dub would be perfect

Pulser remix makes the track having a chance to go in the Top of the Pops charts.
Have to agree with some of you here ... Pulser remix is cheesy.
Original rocks!

Holy shit this is such an awesome song. Bring on the Pulser dub, that'd be awesome

I'm a wee bit late on this one...and I've only heard the Pulser remix so far. I've gotta give this one a 8/10, as most all of Pulser's stuff this year has been top quality, and he doesn't use the vocals poorly as someone already mentioned. Very very energetic tune here...love it

I really don't think its that cheesy...but I agree an instrumental would be better. Also it really isn't that hard to mix in...there's a good 90 seconds before it starts moving into the meat of the song. Even then it comes in very gradually. Granted it is a bit different than his usual style of only bringing in a very small portion of the main melody and then unleashing the rest during breakdown, but its still pretty well done.

Who said that trance was dead??

The instrumental is much better then the Pulser Vocal Mix (don't like the vocals )

11/10
