I feel the same way, it's sad but, the powers that be have been planting the seeds for this one world frame of mind for hundreds of years. i.e., NATO, WTO, The World Bank...it's creeping on up. The question is: Who will stop this movement?

It would be an almost impossible thing to achieve. If you look at many governments of large countries, you'll see just how hard it is for them to have the support of the majority to be in power. Imagine how hard it would be for a world government, so many countries, so many interests, it just would be chaos at best.

one body ruling the entire world would not work at all, some countries have trouble just taking care of themselves. like in canada, nothern ontario gets no attention at all because southern ontario grabs all the attention from the governments.

i totally agree..... for us to have only one government thats impossible around 70 to 80% would have to agree on that form of government... that means 80% of 6 or 7 billion people...hmmm pretty hard thing to do....and if there was only one government then it would be pretty much a dictatorship ....no other governments to compete means they can do what the fuck they want to do ...not as if they dont do what they want now ...it would be more extrememe if there was only one form of government in the world.....and as for NATO,etc,etc rulling the world i would say thats the case they will have a entire world alliance but still there will be different governmants

ummm.. i agree with everyone who said no because it would cause chaos, most governments are corrupt anyway (they are you know, we just don't know it) and one corrupt government for everyone would just be scary. however, i voted 'who cares' because theres no way it will happen in our lifetime, not even in our kids lifetime, so theres no need to worry about it! sorry, negative attitude today!

Its really sad that none of you would like a one world government. Must we fight wars forever? Wouldn't it be great to have no poor countries because all were on equal grounds and were able to share resources evenly. To those who said it will never happen just wait, I hope that eventually this world as a whole will settle it's differences once we begin building on other planets (don't laugh, it will happen eventually).

Are you serious man? If the government was having problems in any certain region the gov. could easily dispatch fighters from other countries to solve the problem. (not that this would be a good thing)
