2 parts to this forum...vocals and a good CD deck set up
Hi everyone, I've got 2 things I need help with:
1)I was wondering if anyone knows of some good software that can remove vocals from tracks. Nothing against vocals, there's just a few songs that I would like to hear WITHOUT THEM!
2)I think the time has come to purchase 2 CD players and a mixer.
I've read up on alot of forums and I've gotten alot of info but here's the thing. I'm just looking for a BEGINNER setup. I'm not a beginner to the genre, just a beginner to the mixing. I'm looking for one that is reasonably cheap, but also performs all the essential tasks that I will need. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

1) not a chance
2) denon 1800f/2000f/26000/4000 -not cd turntables but twin cd players of a professional standard -as used in many clubs worldwide- can be picked up very cheaply second hand.
Denon D4000's are amazing honestly. I rented them for a weekend and fell in love with them in an hour - looping is a dream, it plays nicely with you adjusting ever so slightly to make it good, just all around beautiful gear. Oh and it's black. Sexy black.

1) I FEEL YOUR PAIN!!! i definitely wish that some tracks could have the vocals cut, because honestly i dont much care for vocal trance. it basically impossible to block out just one aspect of a track without losing other parts of a track.. you cant just cut out half of an EQ to remove vocals. what you can do however is remove sections of a song with vocals, and replace it with other parts of the same song that are in the background when the vocals are playing. this way you can try to get the same music/effects without the vocals. a great program for this is Sonic Foundry ACID Pro. this program is amazing for editing songs and whatnot.. i have actually done this vocal cutting for a few tracks, because i thought that the track was ruined because of it. i actually bought some vinyl, ripped it to my computer, cut out the vocals, and then burned it to CD and play the cd in clubs! never play the vinyl, but still supporting the artist. good luck, cutting the vocals and adding parts in perfectly takes alot of time and lots of patience
