Nick Warren kicks Tiesto's ass
and that's about it.
before you retaliate, consider that warren is one half of WOW. and his sets can be prog house/trance or uplifting trance, he doesn't miss a beat, its amazing.
not that tiesto sucks or anything, but nick warren is just that much THE MAN.
pls dont argue if you havent heard WOW's stuff, or the GU series.
Not to be acting all democratic, but I put them in two different categories... Both have a pop flavor, but Tiesto, is... more of a high energy DJ to me. His music is more about having a good time and emotion (what trance really is about) and less about critical skill.
I must say that unlike most every DJ/Musician i've listened to, Nick Warren and WOW have actually gotten better over time. He/they are one of the top of my list (not that I really have a list) always...
I have a feeling WOW is going to blow up very soon, when 'Intensify' [LP] is released on Nettwork in the US...
indeed my friend Nick Warren is an under rated dj which i think just roxxx's and blows Tiesto's set, GU Brazil, Amsterdam, Prague...best prog trance and house ive heard from GU 
da livesets Clubnight 20.10.2000, dam it just blew my mind away, 100% better dan Tiesto.
btw Global Underground is da shit!!! da name says it all, and u know dat its not cheeze nor some commercial tunez..U N D E R G R O U N D

, but when i listened 2 Nick Warren's GU series it just blew me away more dan Tiesto wud, i maybe not da best who knows how each dj spins and shit, but i know wat trance is good, i think dat Nick Warren's selection is better most of da times den Tiesto's...well 2 say da least coz ive said it b4, Tiesto's selection is lame lately and his sets r all da same expect da last 50 min of Club Eau 2yr Anniversary and live in Trondheim, Samfuedent which i think was da first set Tiesto actually played some progressive tunez 15-09-2000 exact date of da set, and selection of tunez was sick
Well, maybe i'll have to check that out.
So far I've been listening SOLELY to epic/uplifting.

i luv da hole GU Brazil kick ass breakz at da start of da second CD!! GU Prague is a classic from 98' classic tunez in there 
i was impressed with warrens stuff so i went to see him in montreal and guess what, she sucked. but i give him the benefit of the doubt because montreal scene is completely house and therefore he just tried to fit in.
LOL!! Czesc Ksieznick so wat i never heard him live either, but i have his some of his livesets and there not house at ALL but prog trance/house with some breakbeats, well Ksiezniczko it all depends if u like house or not i guess
hey niebieski i HATE house and i hate the fact that every dj in montreal ends up playing to the crowd and playing house. fuck the only time i actually heard trance there was PVD and this gut named Morgan Taylor that guy was good.

bro take a look at Global Underground series
Don't know too much about Nick Warren as a DJ, but as a producer he absolutely murders Tiesto. Flight 643 is the only track Tiesto's produced that I particularly like, and even that one got old real quick.
Way Out West have been around for a while (much longer than Tiesto I guess) and like someone said before, they just keep getting better. And now, with the progressive scene blowing up, they're finally going to get the exposure they deserve.
