-- Underworld - Dark & Long

Thumbs up Underworld - Dark & Long

a1 Danny Howells Mix
b1 Dark Train Mix

What can I say, another great release from Underworld. It doesn't hold up to some of their previous songs, but it's great none the less.
Dark Train Mix is a nice slice of housey progressive-trance with a chillout feeling to it.
Danny Howells Mix is awesome though! Tribalish-progressive-breaks, makes me want to hit the dancefloor right now!

I give the dark train mix a 7/10 and Danny Howells mix a 8.6/10

Original and Dark Train of Dark & Long are from late 97 early 98. The new Danny Howels Remix is a good take on the track.

Dude, Dark & Long is from 1994. The Dark Train mix was so far ahead of its time it's not even funny.

first time i heard the danny howels mix was on james zabiela's Four cd about half a year ago... don't like it as much as the dark train mix...

When i think of this song, i always have an image that a baby is crawling on the ceiling from "trainspotting".

It was an amazing track back then and it still is! Not too many tracks about 10 years old can be described like that nowadays.. Haven't heard the Howells Mix but will hunt it down.

This will come out soon, looking forward to it, even if i have about all the tracks already. Some tracks seem to be longer than the versions i have though. I just want this for collecting purposes, full discographies are nice to own.

Well since you're in Denver Twist & Shout had a few copies the other day. That's where I picked mine up

Posted by hexnix on Oct-22-2003 02:36:

Oh why doesn't Underworld make tracks like they used to!

talk about zoning out! Dark Train (1994) has got to be one of the best electronic tracks ever.

Posted by SlinkySkev on Oct-22-2003 10:26:

Music changes. Underworld changed with the music. They still have that Underworld style though

Cant wait for the Anthology Album to come out.
