I just got satellite (direcTV) installed 2 weeks ago and this second as i was flipping the many channels i landed on Much Music (a canadian channel) and their show electric circuss (ITS ON RIGHT NOW!!!) and guess what theres a DJ spinning D&B and its not just a short snippit. they're actually showing this for a while now with people dancing and stuff...

why is it america is so lagging!

never mind, i knew it was to good to be true.... they started playing lame ass cheeze and pop songs/videos

EC blows.

LOL Izzy!!! EC and D&B? LOL!! i rarely hear there trance, they actually sometimes put some sick house, but most of da time is cheezy house they put

now i'm on MTV2 (usa) and its a show called amp and guess what they're showing safri duo - played alive!!!!! im not lying, belive me guys...
they've been playing experimental stuff/techno/funk/electronica too plus they threw in modjo - chillin, mj cole, photek and i think they have warp borthers - rock the funky beat on right now.
am i going nuts?!?!

OK i am not insane, they just played PvD - we are alive... and now a delerium - silence remix (not tiesto's)

Dude..... check out Musique Plus (the French-Canadian version of Much Music). They have a show called 'Bouge De La', it's similar to Electric Circus......only the girls are hotter :-)

Musique Plus sucks , it's just a stupid fake "music channel" that shows only some crappy punk/alternative/commercial-rap .
There's only one good thing there , it's Eletrochoc friday night at 11 , at least they put some trance stuffs (even though cheesy house is spinned more)

Booo EC sucks, and Much Music BLOWS...

sure they might play one or two good songs.... but for every good, trance or whatever song, they play 15 rap,and cheeze songs...

I've never heard anything good on much music! Once a month they have ru receiving (?) and they hardly EVER play any trance! MM plays the same j-lo, backstreet boys, n-sync n britney videos over n over n over like 3 times every hour of the day! Who the fuck watches this really!? I wish they had a show one night every week designated to trance (n techno, etc)! But now that I think about it, do I really want this? hmm...

hmm...realises I am lucky for getting as many mvids as I did(somewhere like 100)..I can watch anytime of the day. But thats not as fun as somebody else chosing to play your fave vid. Specially when u DJ highschool dances with videos....ahh(thats ME!)

Ya tell me about it, I fucking hate that song so much. I always did, it was cheese from the start and it made trance music a joke for like two months. FUCK YOU IAN VAN DAHL! hahah Sorry guys, that song irritates me oh so much.

EC is club, they never said it was trance nation or anything, they try to play as realistically as to what would be played club, a bit of hip hop, dance, some trance, a lot of cheese house, and they showcase some dj's sometimes.

Do I even really want Trance on tv 24/7 anyways? I'm afraid we might start to saturate trance if it gets that far. I know I know, I won't hate it when it becomes mainstream, however I do have to admit I love the fact that it isn't as commercial as it could be. A bit underground (oakey might be changing that tho).

Same here buddy , if i see Max Graham or Tiesto making a video clip and dancing in it i think i'll stop listenin' to trance ...

I am from the UK

On sky digital is rapture, every few weeks they have a club night, from Gods Kitchen and many more, so i like to tune into that, it is an all nighter, just incase u feel like a night in. Also rapture has a lot of the latest stuff , but unfortunaltely it tunrs into extreme sports durring the day. Also MTV Dance, it is new and shows after 7, fairly good stuff, but there is still not a channel with the really latest stuff.

Although Jules was talkin about rapture, as the night they did have at God's kitchen, it ment that all the tracklist were writtin down, so it gave him a chance to see what everyone else was playin

That's soooo true man!! Musique Plus = CRAP. GARBAGE! Litteraly! I mean, when I first watched this I really thought it was a joke of some kind. Figures, it wasn't :P I was like, WHAT THE HELL?

And then I saw that show, 'Electroshoc' ... Pfffehehhe. Ok, so it's kinda good. There was a show about PvD the other time... But! MuchMusic are the one who put that show up in the first place (they did the interviews and stuff) and then Musique Crap got MuchMusic's agreement to play it on their channel. Lamers.

They suck man. Big time :P

Oh, and 'Bouge De L�' have nice girls But they always make it bigger than it is. Like, one time, they had Carl Cox, and they all went like "Oh--my--god!" "We're having the best party ever! It's like, yea. Huhum. We're like, havin' the styles goin' on right now. Kickin it to Carl Cox (wich wasnt playing good shit at all) people. It's like, supar crowded now. I don't think I ever saw such a big part-hey. Yeehaw." I mean come on! Carl Cox is good. I must admit. But he played crap that night. And I guess he played crap only cuz he was told to play like, commercial shit and stuff or because he forgot his vinyls and he used local DJ's vinyls or something.

Musique Plus is a joke.

umm...I know it is kinda cheese but PvD has a vid for we are alive..hes not really dancing, but he is boppin his head to the beat @ times =)
as far as I know..there are only 3 PvD vids for an angel(Love parade 98) we are alive and tell me why ARe there any others?

but i heard of what Rapture TV (i checked out there web site) and it seemed really cool, to bad i dont have a chance to check it out for myself.

i dun think that Much Music plays all that stuff by choice .. they're basically just feeding whatever the market wants ... if the demand here is higher for Top 40 then that's what they're gonna play regardless...

if they played trance 24/7 .. or anything else for that matter besides Top 40 , their ratings would probably drop sharply and possibly even worse, end up over commercializing trance and other electronic music just like halo20 said.

And i don't think u guys would like that to happen ... i think what we need is balance. If they can have Rap City or Wedge show like once a day then i'm sure that it wouldn't hurt to have a 'trance' or underground show at the same rate. RU receiving doesn't count since it shows so seldomly.

Besides, I still think that we're better off than MTV USA. I've watched a bit of that whenever I'm down in the US and it sucks royal. Atleast much music doesn't cut away from the video like half way thru it. And sometimes we'll get maybe atleast ONE decent video every now and then ... don't expect that from MTV USA !

What does confuse me tho is the censorship here... they'll show the MTV awards there live but edit it here but yet they have shows like Showcase ?!? Something isn't making any sense ...

ps. what we are lightyears away from is MTV Europe ... u guys over there get some sickass videos ... half of the ripped vids out there in circulation are MTV Europe sourced. See what i mean by feeding the market ?!

If you got Sat. Tv (Astra), there's a german radio channel called Sunshine Live. It plays the whole day over just Trance & Techno. Unfortunately also a bit House. So if you recieve this Sat. check it out (I think it's only available over Europe).

yeah..europe has some sick vids..I dunno what country its based in, but Viva(I think) is where most of my vids r from.
