Question Anyone in/near Hamilton?

I'm going to be in Hamilton this coming weekend (Oct 9-12... too bad I'll have to leave before PVD), and I'm hoping to catch Armin @ Guvernment on Saturday.

What are the transportation options for going between the two places (Hamilton and Toronto)?
Or perhaps is there anyone who might be able to give a ride, for at least getting back from TO (and maybe also for going there)? Thanks!

GO transit is ure best option (other than a ride)
Hamilton Go Center to Union station via the Hamilton Express Bus...
i think its 8 bucks or something........runs everyday of the week ..one hour intervals on wknds....

PLEASE double check all this info on www.gotransit.com

if you live near mac, it'd be easier to take the go bus that comes to campus.... i think it comes once an hour until 10pm... its pretty good service... 2 way ticket is only 13 bucks and you can use it anytime (dont buy a one way ticket, cause you have to use it on the very next bus or else it's void).... just head to mac and visit the info booth at the student center for tickets and schedule, =P

oh yeah... make sure you're on the right bus, one of them will take you to sqaure one in mississauga... but even if you do end up there, its not such a big deal getting down to toronto...

isnt that the express ???
thought it was....oh well 13 return trip is pretty sexay

yeah.. the express makes no stops all the way to square one...

and i think a ticket is 13.50, not 13 flat... my bad...

What time does the Guv close?
Do the buses run during the overnight hours? Didn't seem like it when I checked the site, but maybe I missed something.

last time i was at guvernment, we didn't leave til around 5am... and we left before the music stopped... just stay at guv, or sleep at the bus station til the buses start running again around 6 or 7, =P... that's what a friend of mine did...

The Guv usually stays open til 7am Sunday. Keep in mind that Sunday is also CDN Thanksgiving, so schedules may run a little slower (I'm assuming?).

So, if anyone living in Hamilton can give my boy Dan a ride here, please speak up!

haha, I'm in HAMILTON! WHy would you want to come up here??? I'm dying to get back to T.O! Without a car, this town is a hole. With a car, you can party in the nearby Burger King.

(Campus life kicks ass. and btw, McMaster's Marauders KICK ASS!!!6 Games WON in a row! We raped UofT, put Guelph on its knees, and laughed at Western! ...ahem...what???? oh yeah...no clue how much tickets cost)

Bicycle racing - the World Championships are happening there - http://www.hamilton2003.com

I don't think the people in my group are late night people. I'm hoping to steal my brother's car for at least Sat night. I'm looking at other possible options if that doesn't work out.
