Fantasy Fest in Key West

I also posted this on CP...

Not really dealing with trance (or so it seems), but I thought maybe some of you might have or know some info...

I'll be going there to check it out Oct 24-25 (thanks to some of your info!), and then going to Miami on Oct 26 to catch the flight back (I know I'm crazy).

So, what events / parties / clubs / places should I be sure to hit up while there?
Is there anything happening on that Sunday that I should stick around a little longer for?

And for that Sunday in Miami, since Space34 will be closed by then, what morning partying options are there? I'm thinking of stopping by Nikki Beach in afternoon. Anything else good that will be going on then?

I'll be down in key west for fantasy fest.... what a good time!!! be sure to hit up irish kevins for some good ol' live music, sloppy joes for getting silly to everything from 80s to bootie music, ricks bar for dance and hip hop.... the garden of eden for some clothing optional dancing.... and if you want trance, go to Wax... the streets will also be completely nutty. get your best costume and be ready to get silly!

All that I have to say about it all was... WOW!
So did any other FLTA's make it out there? How did it compare to past editions?
Did anyone do the body painting?

Wax was a great time. Trance was played on Friday, house on Saturday. Tunes were a little old, but good. It would be cool if they put in some more lights.

All the other places mentioned were crazy packed.
well, I didn't get to check out Garden of Eden - the $20 cover was quite steep for the amount of time I would've spent there

How far in advance does one usually need to book a hotel room in Key West? I stayed at a place that was an hour and a half away. If I didn't have the drive to deal with, I would've drunk myself silly like almost everyone else. However, I think I spent more than enough money anyways.

Also, I guess the timing was good for the Marlins to win the World Series shortly after the parade. Congrats guys. But I heard people saying "Yankees suck" more often than anything positive for the Marlins. Yes, the Yankees did suck compared to how they usually are, and have done, but it sounded like the Marlins didn't deserve to win or something. But I digress.
