Marco V going to mix new compilation

I WILL BE MIXING A NEW COMPILATION FOR ONE OF THE U.K.'s LEADING CLUBS. TO MAKE THIS COMPILATION STAND OUT, I HAVE DECIDED TO RECORD IT LIVE(!) AT 'XL' IN AMSTERDAM THIS SATURDAY (OCTOBER 11. 2003). MC MARXMAN WILL BE HOSTING THE EVENT, SO WITH YOUR HELP THIS SHOULD BE A NIGHT TO REMEMBER!

I can understand why people like mc's and hate mc's at live events but frankly on a commercially available mix cd, I rather not hear the MC.

have you listened to the live set from tiesto back at trance energy 2000? some dude talks through almost the whole thing....it bugs me but its a bad ass set.

not all MC's are bad.... just MOST of them. Theres a very fine line between annoying and crowd-pleasing for MC's. In the case of a live compiliation CD, I dont mind a little bit of MC'ing to hype up the crowd, because I want to feel the live atmosphere. Emphasis on a little

I think it easy to say the mc is bad without hearing if he is good or bad. So just wait till the mix is done and is released. Then decide!

aye, and crasher usually bring out a compilation rite before a big event like NEC. i hope its true coz the gc comps are starting to get boring, and a liveset would be summing different.
