For $100.00 more, go for the Xone:62. You'll be happy

Xone62 is my personal favourite mixer and a favourite of many DJ's I know. To me the sound quality is so much clearer than any Pioneer mixer, the filters if used creativly sound far superior to the effects provided on the Pioneer (I hate the over-use of the phase effect!). It sounds so clear at full volume, the faders are nice to use, the EQ range is split into 4 bits instad of three allowing for far smoother control of your mixes and the EQ knobs are big and spacious for easier EQ'ing. With seperate level monitors on each channel and an ultra clear output level display everything is geared towards providing the DJ with an easy to use mixer!

the Xone:62 isnt $100 bucks more, more like $250-$300 more.

I've seen the price of the 32 around $799.00, i bought my 62 for $924.00. So around $125.00 would be more exact.

here in britain the xone 62 is at least 200 more expensive than the xone 32.

what i would say tho that on a bedroom set up sound quality is hard to judge. you really need to hear it in a big club system to appreciate the diference

Posted by Zzyzx on Oct-07-2003 20:01:

Wow, that's quite a difference.

It's always amazed me how sometimes it's more expensive to purchase a product made in your own country.

Good old UK, always screwing its residents with over priced products...

I've had several quotes on the xone32 at around USD$680 so I dunno where you get your figures from. I'm about to buy my xone32 in about a week... if the xone62 was $780 I would definitely be saving the extra $100 for it!!

Posted by pumavisor808 on Oct-08-2003 01:05:

Pssl's prices for each

Xone 2-62 $1199.99
Xone 32 $799.00

so $300.00 dif sounds about right...

they have the Xone 464 for only $999.00
Isn't that supposed to be a step up from the 62?

where did you get it for $924.00. Were they an authorized dealer??? If so I'll take that price to pro sound and they'll beat it by 10%... I def. could use a new mixer...

yes it is a two step up mixer the 464 that is, A&H just doesn't have the middle ground one or one step up from 62. The Xone 464 they have for $999.99 was discontinued like two or more years ago. The new XOne464(MK2) is MAP Priced at $1599.95.

pm me if you are serious about getting the Xone62 and I'll give you a good price, the other guy most likely got his either from an Unauthorized dealer or he got it on EBay which also will NOT give you any manufacturers warranty.

Cheers...

dude thank you so much for mentioning Riks Music... they are absolutely great! Awesome customer service, they respond to email queries within the hour, and you get a more personal service because the only way to order is over the phone.. a good way to do things imo. Anyway, I requested a quote from them on the price of a Xone32, as I was just about to buy it for $679 from somewhere else (got this quote from 2 different stores)... they quoted me $629 AND free shipping because it was an order > $250 ! I definitely recommend these guys, take a look through their web site and even read the FAQs, they know how to run a business. I'm expecting delivery of my long awaited xone32 on Thursday this week, oh god I can't wait

Ya, Riks is excellent vendor. To bad they don't have more DJ related items for sale.

Exactly my thoughts... otherwise I'd buy much more from them. Oh well, they have their reasons.

On the 32, where do you select which line input you are using for each channel??? I don't see a selector switch on each channel on the pic on their website...

anyone know where it is??

Posted by `pr0digy on Oct-15-2003 14:10:

I think it's on the back panel (?)

that kinda sucks...
I have 2 denon s5000's and 2 ttx's (6 channels full)... so I'm switching channels constantly on my 3 channel mixer... Looks like I have to go with the 62 instead.. It has a selector on top.

Posted by Rememberence_ on Oct-15-2003 17:05:

you can see the switches on the back of the mixer in this pic.. I don't think it's that much of a big deal, they are just below the gain levels for each channel, and not hard to get at. Unless you like to use the phono/line switch for effects, for cutting a channel... then this won't matter at all. Get my xone32 tomorrow, woohoo!!!

Just got it! It's fucking sexy $#(%#@%

Someone on another forum goes to me:

wtf?? scratch mixer rofl! Does anyone else not like the look/layout of the xone32? If not, why? If yes, why?

Posted by mikefasssy on Oct-19-2003 19:31:

I think it looks sekzy as f*ck!!!!!!!!

Posted by `pr0digy on Oct-19-2003 20:14:

If it had a bigger input jack, I'd fuck it. It's uber sexay.
