Never heard of it. Mexican fast food I take it?

Posted by blazed it on Oct-06-2003 23:42:

ignore this restaurant. it is part of the new fresh-mex trend. Chipotle is backed by mcdonalds.

Yeah they are owned by McDonald's.....they bought the chain about the same time as they bought Boston Market.

I did not care for the place the one time i went there but I am not a fan of burritos.

The lime tinged tortilla chips rock though

Posted by mezzir on Oct-07-2003 04:27:

supposed to be one in manhattan by early next year at the latest i think
as of now they're only in the midwest

Posted by IronDragon on Oct-07-2003 05:23:

I first visited Chipotle when I was at the University of Wisconsin-Madison on a Saturday earlier this year.

'Twas a fine burrito I had.

However, I was upset when I realized that it would likely be awhile until I experienced such fine Mexican food.

Lucky for me, they had just built one where I used to live and I ate there as often as possible, even after I moved.

The abridged version: Farking good food

chipotle is bangin

i think mexican food is like heaven...margaritas, guacamole, chips and salsa?! mmm where can you go wrong with that combination???

...about 30-45 minutes after consumption!!!! LOL

Stay downwind of me whenever you eat mexican food!

Posted by daffodil on Oct-07-2003 05:46:

for quick tex-mex, i prefer taco bell. when i'm in d.c., i never miss out on well dressed burrito though! puts chipotle, baja fresh and all those other nonsense places to shame.

you forgot cheese dip! i've been known to make meals out of margaritas (on the rocks, with salt. don't ruin them in a blender!), tortilla chips and cheese dip at my favorite mexican place here in richmond. they make the good margaritas where the mix is sweet and you can taste the tequila

QDOBA OWNS ALL! their 3 cheese nachos are my addiction.

Posted by daydreamer on Oct-07-2003 21:00:

too bad none of you guys live close to me otherwise i would take you to some of the best mexican restuarants. chipotle is blah to me.
some advise, just cause you cause you pay insane amount of money on a mexican restaurant doesn't make it one of the best. sometimes the best tasting mexican restaurants are the small one that are in the heart of a spanish community.
