i wanna see red sox v. cubs in the series. that would be soo dope. prior v. pedro. CLASSIC matchup. that would probably be the best pitcher's duel in the history of the game if they both have their A game.

btw, that is very YANKEE fan-like to think that the yankees have a better chance against the sox than against the A's. when you consider that the A's don't have Mulder and they don't have Hudson (for the time being), they would've had a much better chance against oakland. leave it to yankee fans to be SUCH boston haters.

Someone bring out the industrial strength, elementary/junior high school/high school brooms, cause were gonna see a sweep of the red sox like never before. Yankees will set a record by the end of this series with the most runs against an opposing team within a 4 game span.

we've been through this argument b4 my friend...PPR a few months back..a hardcore A's fan used to post here as well claiming the same point, and we disproved his idiocy...now he doesnt post here anymore...now the A's have lost...coicidence?? i think not...

i'll say it again. cubs v. red sox would be GREAT. if it's yankees v. cubs, they will have a TOUGH TOUGH TOUGH time beating them. my guess is it would be:

Game 1: Wood
Game 2: Prior
Game 3: Zambrano AND Clement
Game 4: Wood
Game 5: Prior
Game 6: Clement, with Wood closing it out
Game 7: Zambrano, with Prior closing it out

all of that in laymans terms = NO shot for the yankees if they do indeed make it to WS. i personally don't think they'd make it past game 5. however, we all could be thrown for a loop and Florida could win. in which case i will be extremely bored.

Maybe you just don't argue with Yankee fans that know about baseball. Since when does Money=Talent????? What does a 200 million dollar payroll have to do with anything? There are more talented players in baseball than many players on the Yanks. BUT, it's not the Yankee players fault that they know how to work on the field and at the table when contract time comes up. Let's be honest, Is Giambi really worth all the money---fuck no! its funny that people say boston people were going crazy after they nearly choked to oakland....yea nearly choked...so much so that pedro had to ask god for help...he's gonna need more pointing to heaven when he plays the yanks. and the reason why i laff at boston fans going crazy is that it is obvious that they are excited since they havent won anything in a long time. yanks sweeping the sox see u in 4 baby
