why do you need to listen to it at such a high level. thats how you hurt your ears. we had a huge ass dicussion about this before. trance should be listened to at a reasonable volume, you shouldnt need to turn it up full blast to appreciate it. just my opinion. btw i dont know any proggies that enhance the sound.

Trance is alwayz better LOUD IMO. As long as you arent exposed to it every day or every week then it shouldnt hurt you.

O no, here we go again w/ that deaf thread. Leave it for that thread, because I have noticed that some MP3s are not as loud as they should be and u're missing out on some of the elements when they're like that.

sorry if i came off as being argumenative. sorry. didnt wanna cause an uproarr. actually i remember going to winamp.com and seeing things where you could turn the volume up louder. if i can find it ill give you the name

OK...
There's a program called AcidWAV. It lets you make changes to a .WAV file (which you get by decoding MP3), including making the volume arbitrarily loud. Any .WAV editor will do this simple thing, as well.

Don't say I didn't warn you, if you abuse this feature you'll really hurt your health. It sounds like you already have a big problem...

Coup, you might be interested in obtaining the Winamp DFX 5 plugin. It helps make the music sound better while not distorting the sound. DFX has audio boosting & helps make mp3s sound alot better (thru dynamically "filling in" the highs that get lossed in mp3 compression)... I seriously recomend this plugin to make it sound better & more "bright"... you'll hear the difference instantly. Trust me.

Get DFX 5 here:
http://www.winamp.com/plugins/detai...mponentId=50756

You can also experiment with the winamp EQ settings, but those usually have mixed results.

Listening to it @ overall much louder levels isn't really recomended, it can fuck up your hearing in the long term if you listen too long. Not only that.. but unless you've got really good headphones, the distortion can make it more annoying.
