DVD + Bad PC = "bleh!"
DVDs look shit on my PC.
I think its mainly because ive got a lame video card, but that doesnt explain why they look like they're in 16-bit color.
You can see where all the colors merge in the background and sometimes it looks really bad.
I realise that someday I'm going to have to upgrade because we all do but, until then, what can I do to improve this.
Even if nobody can help me with the color issue, maybe someone can tell me about "bob" and "weave" and which one is better.
P.S.
Before some noob asks me check my color depth while it is playing...
"I already have"

um... codecs... dvd codecs....
ya might wanna tell me how to do that considering the fact that i thought DVD's were uncompressed
P.S.
I have two "voodoo 2's" they're really old. That might be the problem... right

that's why i just ordered a new pc with a 128 mb ati radeo video card
I WILL BE FINALLY ABLE TO WATCH MOVIES ON MY PC!!!!!!
provided everything gets here on time... they shipped it from different places... BUM CLOUDS.

do you have good eyes???
just wondering whether you noticed that when you run dvds full screen and the res changes, straight lines become bumpy on about every 20th pixel....
Some straight lines on DVDs I use appear really chunky but its usually minimal
