Home's Renovations

Has anyone else seen the new renovations in Home?
Was there last night for my beloved U18s, and I have to say it is alot better in there now, much more room, and alot more open in the main room. I think capacity is up to about 1800-2000 in there now.

Also 2 massive Laser Boxes on either side of the relocated DJ booth, belting out 4 lasers. Does anyone know whether they are there to stay now?? It'd be awsome if there are.

I also got to hear Trent Anthony play for the first time! He was awsome, of course he had to play the more socially acceptable music, stuff like Moguai - U know Y etc. But still an awsome set.

Im not too sure if I like the new set up, sure its a bit bigger now but I loved the positioning of the old DJ booth

and that little staircase and balcony that overlooked the main room is gone aswell.. that was cool

Trent's a champ and he is certainly a major crowd pleaser - always brings out the goods!!!! Hes even more impressive of late seeing as hes still mixing one handed - due to that broken arm!!!

Havent checked out Home for about a year now, but i guess ill check it when ronald van gelderen's out here!

Was there on Friday; they have 2 lasers in now. Both single heads, 1 full colour oracle laser, 1 green oracle laser.

New setup is MUCH bigger and better, only down side, as jace said is the lack of that stair case to sit and chill in.

I was going 2 make you all go and find out

It's straight ahead when you walk in @ the very other end. IE on the wall closest to home bar.

Also, where the old booth was, they are going to put up a (more perminante) stage. Theres a small raised area thats getting used as a stage (wade knows what im on about) but they are going to put a full stage in there, and transform the venue into Home:Live, so sydney has another live music venue, rather than just another club.

I went to Home last nite for the ITM Smirnoff party

Never had been n my fren showed me around, that place is bloody huggeeeee...

Maybe cause they didn't crank em up all the way, or cause the place is bigger, but Gas has more punch to the bass.

Anyways nice nice club, hope PvD plays there when he comes for the Reflections tour next year

btw, those oracle lasers are sick puppies

Last time he played there, it was easily the worst clubbing crowd ive EVER experienced!!! ive never experienced a bigger crowd of assholes, wankers, and ****s in my entire life!!! Give me Gas any day - it doesnt attract the cockle bay wankers brigade!!!

yeah bassaholix, pvd at Gas this year was sooooo much better than at Home last year....Home's an alrite club, but the crowd usually leaves a fair bit to be desired, and the vibe just never feels like it does at our beloved Gas......so, imho, bigger definitely isn't better!! i think Home is the kinda place that seems really impressive the first few times u go, and then u get over it pretty fast.....

pvd @ GAS was awsome for me... first time id seen him, had no problems with the crowd was front and on the glass all night..
