Why do posers have to exist?
warning...this is not a debate thread about who is your favorite dj
so what is wrong with a lot of people
they are acting like sheep going with the flaw...before 2 years diggers was their best dj last year it was tiesto and it looks like pvd is gonna be their best for this year (or whoever gets to be voted as #1 on djmag)but if u asked them before 6 months: what do u think about pvd they would say: i cant stand him, tiesto is better..but now guess what...they are listening to pvd :/
whats your opinion?
re:
Peoples tastes change as do dj's styles.Tiesto was my favourite last year but i don't really dig his new style.
Depends who you ask. Obviously there;s always gonna be people who ride on the band wagon because they want to fit in. Fuck those people. When you wanna talk about music, talk to people who go by their own style/taste.
I've liked PvD since 2001...so...yea. No band wagon here

tiesto has been my #1 from 1998 to this day, that has never changed and i doubt it will ever change. it's true that a lot of people here are mad incosistent, just search their profiles and message histories and you'll see
i could name so many members of this board who have changed their view over the span of time, they even go from loving to hating a certain dj or genre in the span of 2 weeks

i don't know if he really deserves to be the #1 dj

i actually think tiesto is coming back nowadays
i couldnt stand him last year.
I voted PvD for fear of him further bastardizing the word "fuck" and its derivatives if he lost.
"Fuck this fucking crap I'm not fucking the fuck fucking second fucking best fucking DJ this year."
Hey, you'll never see me on the PvD bandwagon I can tell you that much!

why do people that use the word "Poser" have to exist?
they should use the word NUTSUCKER instead of poser..
that describes the situation a bit better

| Originally posted by TeKnoHe@d2025 I think I know what he's getting at. See, like at least half of the tunes in PvD's sets are either his "reworks/re-edits" and remixes. As most of us know, his productions are wank and lack the quality that other producers have like James Holden, Matt Darey, Tiesto, etc. Yes, the DJ Mag poll is based on DJ skills which PvD has I know that...but I think track selection has just as much to do with DJ skills as mixing does. |
