Dancing Dude I had a great time tonight yall (PvD in Atl)

Just wanted to say it was great meeting some of the TAs from the area, I had a great time partying with yall tonight. Hopefully we can get together and do it again soon! And thanks a lot Scott for your hospitality

On a side note, was a little dissapointed in my first PvD experience, but had a great time listening to him spin anyway

What a great night!! Nice meeting all the TAs from the area. I didn't stay inside for long cuz it was way too pack and hot. I also feel like TAs disappear and spread out after a while. I was outside in patio area chillin' w/ my friends most of the time. Like Scott said wasn't the best but PvD still show his amazing skills.

Also it's nice meeting you Devin (Liquified promoter), thanks for throwing all the great parties. Had a great time handing out flyers

Again, Thank you Scott, for hosting a pre-party and great job with the tracklist

See u guys @ Armin next week

-Jack

I had a good time, but I enjoyed Oakenfold's Bunkka concert even more at e50 last November. For example, I expected far more variation in Paul's live version of "Nothing But You." I didn't want the same thing I get on his CD single.

I need help identifying a track Paul played twice last night. It has German lyrics that go something like, "Wunderschn, Wunderful, Super Schn, und Super Toll." Anyone know what that is?

Wish I could have gotten to meet some of you...

This was an awesome night!! My back and feet were so sore after dancing for so long. I wish he would have played a bit more of new stuff, but I was extremely pleased to hear some of the classics live...I went ape when he played TOOL (not the chill one, the club mix)...unforgettable. Same with NBY. Never heard it live...damn near cried on both tunes Anyway, it was my first club experience, so obviously my first PvD experience. It could have been better, but it will still be unforgettable.

I did get a good amount of pics and a REALLY great pic of the crowd behind me during a breakdown...hands in the air, touching the laser...I'll post them all later tonight

Nice work on the tracklist... from what you have so far it looks pretty accurate. I had a good time.. but I have to say he played better when I saw him in Orlando at House of Blues this past easter.

See everyone at Armin

My Review

Okay, here is my review.....

Got to the club around 10:15 and there was a huge line. I kind of figured it would be like that considering all the hype and cancellations. Anyway, luckily we got in around 10:45. We get inside the club and Edgar V was spinning some mellow house. As the night progressed, so did Edgar. He brought the energy level up perfectly before PVD hit the stage. Anyway, around 12:15 PVD gets up in the booth and sets up his Final Scratch.

Anyway, around 12:15 PVD gets up in the booth and sets up his Final Scratch.

At about 12:25 PVD goes on and opens with the usual Digital Pressure- Aftershock. The club went completely insane. PVD was controlling the lasers also. I have never seen this club so packed before. It was twice as packed as when Tiesto was there. Anyway, as the set progresses, so does the energy. Crush came on and I went completely insane. Well, after Crush, I nothiced a girl that went into the DJ booth. I was like Holy shit. PVD freaked out ,and was like WTF? I look a bit closer and it was my friend Stacy. I couldnt believe what I was seeing. As security pulled her out, she tried to give Paul a kiss. She must have been really messed up bc when I asked her about how she got in there, she said she had no idea. UNREAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Highlights of the night for me were Another Way, Holding onto Nothing, TOOL, As the Rush comes, and For An Angel. His mixing was superb as usual, but there did seem to be some distortion with the bass at times. Oh well, it was still amazing.

PVD was really animated in the booth singing along and dancing. He held up his hands up when he blew the place apart and looked as if he was in pure heaven.

Although this was not my favorite PVD experience, I have to say it was still incredible. I kind of like the vibe better in NY and Miami, but anyway he finished up with For An Angel and the place went crazy!!!!!!!! He finished at around 3:35 and Edgar closed out the night. I kind of expected Paul to go on at 1 and finish at 4:30, but that didn't happen. All in all it was a fantastic night.

Yes, I loved this one...does anyone have any idea as to what it could be?

Brian, I know I've never heard it before. But looking at the gaps in the tracklist, I say it's #8 and #27 or something like that.

Yeah, I'd agree there...it's gotta be #8... I distinctly remember hearing it for the first hour that I danced, took a half hour break, and when I got back up there for the next hour he played it again. I'm gonna comb through some of his recent Fritz Soundgarden sets to see if I can find it.
