Evanescense - Hello (G&D remix)
Anyone got more info on this tune (or even better, a sample
)? Not heard it, but sounds like it's gonna be good
download ASOT 117 part 3 if you are interested. im sure you can find it somewhere, if not from someone on TA! pretty good tune, Dave Dresdens first true production/remix...a little simplistic but quite good|
ps there was also a thread on this here, with a sample...use search to find it-
I'm not a fan of G&D, but I like this tune. The way the vocals sound over the b-line sounds amazing imo. I didn't know that dresden did this remix solo. I wonder why it says Gabriel & Dresden instead of Dave Dresden Remix,

| Originally posted by TeKnoHe@d2025 It's not solely Dave that worked on the remix. He created a song inspired by Evanescence's "Hello" and then Josh put the finishing touches on it. This is the first G&D track with more Dave Dresden influence I guess you could say. It's stated clearly in the interview right before the song plays how this remix came about and was completed. |
Trifactor helped Dave develop this remix as well.

And when he went back to SF Josh put his touch on it. And it was just sad of Dave not even giving Trifactors name on the radio... Just very Dissapointing from him... i don't care whether she's 18 or 30.....as long as the music sucks, it sucks. and i don't find her being "only" 18 as an excuse.
if people can sing, they can sing! no matter how old they are!
ahhh...[/frustration]

the official word on this track is that the idea was borne in mid august one night when i decided to purchase said evanescence album and heard "hello" - i happened to go to the monday social in l.a. where i bumped into vic, who is trifactor - we chatted a bit and he suggested we work sometime soon...vic and i have worked together before, and when i heard his demo cd a year and a 1/2 ago, i was really impressed with his ideas and his melodies.
so i told him we would work the next day and i had a great idea for a bootleg, track 9 from the evancescnce album...he seemed interested and went home and prepared for us to work.
when i arrived at the studio, vic was already prepared with downloaded sheet music and lyric sheets for the song, and we quickly got down to business with the mix...
we both took turns engineering the mix. while neither of us are the logic audio (the program used to sequence the song) zen master that josh gabriel, i was happy with the result after two days of work.
but then i thought what an anthem it would be if josh would mix the track down for us, which he was more than happy to do. what started out as a planned day project ended up taking on a life of it's own and being another week of work and that's what was played on a state of trance, which is the gabriel & dresden version of the bootleg i started with trifactor.
josh is going to mix down the dave dresden vs trifactor version and then we're going to submit both mixes to the label for consideration.
trifactor is definitely a name to be watching...the kid has got skills!
