Bush on Cuba

http://www.cnn.com/2003/ALLPOLITICS...cuba/index.html

What a fucking turd! We haven't finished with Aghanistan, CERTAINLY not with Iraq, and already he's talking about Cuba needing to be democratic and needing a regime change?!?

In addition, Bush said, elections in Cuba "are still a sham".

Gotta hate having leaders the people didn't vote for eh.

i like how he denounces Rummy and Powell and then continues with outdated ideals. seriously who is worried about Cuba anymore? let Castro die and then worry about it. its a relatively small island that uses US currency often as it has higher value that Cuban. im certainly not shaking in my boots|thoidonthaveany

The Russians still have nukes pointed at the US from Cuba! Lets scare the world again!

Posted by Lover Boy on Oct-11-2003 17:51:

And you wonder why the world hates America. Honestly the US needs to sort out its foreign policy. Non Christian / Democratic countries arn't necessarily evil and need 2b "helped" by teh good 'ol US of A.

- DOnt you guys see it?!?!?!.. Remember that all this cubans in Florida voted for Bush thinking that Bush will do something ( since Clinton didnt oust Fidel Castro, they heard Bush say he will kick Fidel Castro out of there ).. lately, all this cubans are discontent with Bush since he's policies to Cuba are the same, and no change as he said.. and as he looks at the polls, and sees the cubans turning their backs on Bush, Bush has got to do something to have once again to not loose potential florida votes.. its all politics folks. And very dumm though.. He got Iraq up he's behind, Afghanistan as well, now North Korea crap, and now Iran.. wtf now, he hasent doen much of a deal on the Israel and Palestine part ( wheres the diplomacy for gods sake ) .. and now he threatens Cuba!??!.... IM smelling Imperialism more and more by the day.

This is what's gonna happen. Since he's only pulling 1/2 assed jobs in all these countries, the person who gets voted in at the 2004 election (let's face it, I bet by the time the elections begin Bush's approval rating will be shit) will have a huge burden on their shoulders. Basically he's trying to screw over whoever will be next.

heheh interesting theory...one in which I think would be funny as hell, but probably not true, since the dems have yet to strengthen their platform/solidarity. If true...if you think this administration is bad, wait until then and see how much worse things could get fuqed up. "when your in a hole, it's easier to keep digging, then trying to climb out."

wheeee.

ROFL! That has been sort of a theory of mine in that the reason Americans keep electing stupid/inexperienced politicians is so we can poke fun. I mean, look at all the future jokes that will be made about Schwarzenegger relating to Terminator, etc.?

Posted by PhloTron on Oct-11-2003 20:22:

quite true on that...

but honestly he can't possibly do any worse than Davis...yet we can still make jokes on it...so its kinda like a double bonus.

Posted by Lover Boy on Oct-11-2003 21:21:

Laugh away, Bush can't seem 2 differentiate between Iraqi and British troops, god forbid he presses the red button. "What? England isn't a terrorist state?"

They have cigars of mass destruction.

*shiver*

Posted by Psionic on Oct-12-2003 02:44:

Speaking of cigars, didn't the U.S. try killing Castro with an exploding cigar?

Posted by Spin Doctor on Oct-12-2003 20:35:

Several years ago I vowed that if America ever tried it on with Cuba Id fly out and fight for Cuba! lol

a "happy day"... riiiiiiiiiight

Cracking down on U.S. travel will also help limit the island's prostitution -- "a modern form of slavery which is encouraged by the Cuban government," Bush said.

we might aswell go fucking invade thailand too.

seriously, this is quite possibly the most retarded administration weve ever had here in america. its like we have adhd or some shit - we start one war with an almost defenceless country get bored, and go off and start another.

Now, now, no need to get your panties in a bunch. Recognize political posturing when you see it. Read the last line of the article:

"If we're waiting for Fidel Castro to pass, we could be waiting for a couple more presidents," said Anya Landau. "These are simply rehashed, repackaged versions of a very tired and ineffective policy."

Bush is doing nothing to change Cuban policy from previous administrations except for enforcing tourist restrictions to the country. He didn't even change the wet foot/dry foot policy that most cuban-americans were hoping for. He's just sucking up to voters.

- My words through Occriders mouth.. right on. Just votes.

On a sidenote.. many US companies are doing buisness with Cuba, unheard of, but there is.. trust me. And believe me, Bush knows about it.. he just dont make a deal out of it.

I really hope this doesnt work...what if Florida ends up being what it was 3 years back...this BS will prove to be crucial to him...grrrrrrrrrrrr

Florida needs to be sold back to Spain, at least until after 2004
