Kill Bill Volume 1

i just saw the most incredible movie of the century
lots of blood, anima was AMAAAAAAAAAZING and the fucking sword... im BREATHLESS

what do u think?

Posted by Z1D on Oct-12-2003 04:36:

The violence was over the top, the fight scenes were decent.
Plot was blah.
Gimme Legend of the Drunken Master over it any day.

Posted by Dj-Gingi on Oct-12-2003 04:39:

thats the worst movie ive ever seen! HAH
but thats ur opinion its ok

Posted by cap on Oct-12-2003 04:57:

"Plot was blah" ?

Dude, how can you negatively comment on the plot of a Taratino movie? You don't get the point of his film making do you? The movie is not supposed to have a mind-inspiring, academy award winning plot. It's purely about the details, dialogue, and in this particular movie, the action. This movie fucking OWNED.

I might go see it

Kill Bill was freakin awesome. Completely anime inspired. Even some anime in it. Junx was tight.

nice pictures in that movie, the plot is defienatly bleh as someone else said. This film is violent, funny, beautiful and lame.

"Sure it's outlandishly violent and bloody. Can anyone expect Tarantino's movie not to be a true mind-blowing, adrenaline-pumping shocker? Of course not! Gritty and slick, his first installment of KB rocks with moody western imagery, the '60s and '70s-era of Hong Kong martial arts-action, the influences of the ritualistic samurai swordsmanship, and Japanese anime. Like in all his films, Tarantino never fails to merge dark humor with terror. "

heres a quote from one of the reviews i read which sum up the themes pretty nice

bleh ishould see it then...last movie i saw in theatres was autin powers 2...im lame yeh..

Gonna go see this tonight. I'm surprised for the type of movie it is it got great reviews! :P

Posted by zarathustra on Oct-12-2003 15:16:

Thumbs up

I saw this on Friday and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. It was non-stop action, with some very "artsy" violence in it. I'll stop short of calling it original but personally, I have never seen anything like that.

Posted by Shudder on Oct-12-2003 18:01:

thought it was really weird for a tarantino movie. some part were just out there which was differen.t enjoyed how the movie was based mostly upon the japanese media and humour.

Posted by TwoPlow on Oct-12-2003 18:29:

Tarantino never fails to produce an amazing movie. Kill Bill was no exception. Can't wait for the next one.

Posted by Dj-Gingi on Oct-12-2003 18:51:

i think his main change in movies it this:
in his last movies his main thing was guns and country style scenery
so he changed now from guns to katanas which cuts EVERYthing hehe
really classic this movie, pure from dusk till dawn style but using knives this time and very japanese style

GOD-LIKE!

I wanted to see this forever,
but I just got the chance.

I will be going again, and again I could tell you that!

Beauty!

Gee, with a name of "Kill Bill Volume 1 I wonder!

But not a trilogy, only 1 extra volume.

Posted by djSlain on Oct-13-2003 01:01:

hehe, just saw the trailer and it looks pretty funny. Good cinematography! off to the mall!

Posted by PeacefulWarrior on Oct-13-2003 01:59:

Amazing film! Almost all aspects of this movie were quality. The cinematography was excellent, the sets and costumes were very out there, the soundtrack was great. The use of different formats and dialogues throughout the film is something you don't see often, and Terentino pulled it of perfectly. It's one of the more original mainstream films I've seen.

Definite eye candy.

Posted by Psionic on Oct-13-2003 04:05:

Wow, just got back from seeing it. Classic Tarantino right there

Posted by blazed it on Oct-13-2003 07:59:

gonna hype it up some more.... who thinks this is one of the better soundtracks to come out in years? like it actually fits very well with the movie and is not really commercially driven as most soundtracks tend to be?

Posted by revwib on Oct-13-2003 17:55:

I can't wait to see it

I can't wait to see this movie. The last movie I saw was Lost in Translation. It was really well made. My fav of the year.

Ya the soundtrack was just as good as the movie

Posted by Special_K on Oct-13-2003 19:31:

just saw it last night. BEST MOVIE THIS YEAR.

Seriously fucking amazing.

Ya if your not familiar with tarantino films then dont trash it till you've seen the rest of them. Right from the start you can see his style. This is probably one of the most violent movies ive seen in a while as well. The Violence was totaly part of the dark humor of it. Oh and the sword fight scenes were so intense. Very entertaining movie

Cant wait till vol.2

I didnt think the plot was blah.....it was obviously supposed to be simple.....Revenge, thats the plot, thats all he needed for it. Part 2 is totaly going to get way more deep. Remember they wern't planning on releaseing this film as 2 movies. They decided that it was to long and cut it into 2 parts before it was released.

Posted by TuanAnh213 on Oct-14-2003 00:38:

my only grip about the movie is lucy liu
