I wish it wasn't on a monday or else I would love to come by and spin. The next day I have a huge presentation at school which is gonna kick my ass. So it gets kinda hard to spin and drive back 4 hours er so.

But these sound sweet post up any other ones that go on.

Montie, I have a friend that is interested. How much time will each DJ be given to spin? And do you have an email address so he can contact you (he doesn't post here)?

Thx

well the time for each DJ depends on how many DJ's we have sign up. I'm hoping to get each DJ a spot for 1 hour. I dont think that will be possible though, so i may have to shoot for 45 min. 30 min would be the minimum.
I already have some people who have wanted to sign up. I'm also waiting to hear back from some of the DJs at KSCR and seeing how many of them also wanna spin. Once I have that figured out, I'll draw up a whole schedule and get time slots developed.
I'll get something written up within the next couple of days and I'll post it up.

if you wanna conact me via email me, get me at [email protected]

definatly come out dude! bring people too.
right now we are scheduled for 8 till 12 (or maybe later).
i'm working on getting this starting earlier tho, cuz i really want to get more time so we can fit in as many DJs as we can.

thanks for the info, Montie.

just an fyi - if I were a dj I'd prefer a longer set rather than a brief set. Spinning for 30 minutes isn't very long, probably only 3-5 records. Is this a one time deal or will you be holding more of these type events? Maybe it would be better to book fewer DJs per event to give each more time to build their own sound... just a thought.

yeah i totaly understand. i don't want the sets to be 30 min either. but it all depends on how many people we have sign up. and its already looking like we have a good amount.
i'm gonna try to make the sets as long as i can.
i'll have a sched written up soon and there will be a cutoff for new peeps to sign up.

i'm hoping to make this more than a one time thing. problem is ground zero, where we are holding the event, is booked pretty much for the rest of this semester.
depending on the success of this event, we may turn this into a biweekly thing next semester.
