Well, Im a new DJ, and for the 1st time I used an online store to buy records. My buddy recommended Only-djs.com so I ordered a couple of records from there.

Well, the results were negative. They sent it to the wrong adress... Why? I dont know. In my profile the information was correct, so I dont see why it was sent to a completely different adress.

Luckily, the person who got them was nice enough to call me and let me know that he received them, and I can pick them up whenever. He lives about an hour away from me. Anyways, 1st experience with ODJ was a bad experience.

Anyone else encounter the same problem or am I the only one, because supposedly they have a very good reputation.

Any comments on this?

these two are at the top of my fav online rekkid shop list, and that applies to many other TAs. Great shipping times and costs to all over the world, and quite a good selection! There are of course others, but I suggest you read the 'Record Store List' thread for more options, and definitely the 'Beware: Dodgy online record stores' thread too! I'm the one who recommended onlydjs. I've ordered about 25 records or so from them and have had no problems period from them. I don't know why they would send it to somewhere else. What I suggest you do D is just email their customer service line and find out how come they sent it to the wrong place and correct it before you order it again...let me know what happens ok? As for juno and chemical? Never ordered from them but I hear they are nothing but top notch. (I will start to get some from them soon).

First of all OD is not a good place to buy records - although its excellent to scout records because they stream the songs on the website.

The cheapest place to get records would be Chemical Records - Ive ordered from Chemical and Juno and it turns out Chemical is cheaper (Juno charges more for shipping) - I havent used Dancegrooves, but I hear its pretty good too.

I've never had a problem with them and I've ordered many times from them. The shipping is rediculous though.

Dancegrooves is a better shop to go through imo, still in the Netherlands with the same 2-3 day shipping time but the shipping cost is cheaper and they get in nearly the same releases and promos.

i only bought one time some records from only djs, but no problems at all, ok, the shipping is expensive, but you can track the records, and are quite fast at my home....

never used chemical or juno, but dancegrooves is indeed one of the best!

ive made about a dozen purchases from ODJ's and every time the order has shipped the same day it was placed, and arrived in 2-3 days. No problems there for me. But if I could find somewhere else that sells at the same prices and has the same kind of stock but with cheaper shipping, I wouldnt mind checking them out.

I've ordered from only-djs.com several times and not a single problem. Shipping, on a contrary of everyones' opinion about shipping being outrageous, is not bad at all. Here is what I mean by that, if you order 1 record your shipping charge will be around USD $25.00 if you order 15-17records your shipping charge will be USD $27.00-28.00 turns out to be only USD$1.65 to $1.80 per record, which isn't bad at all considering it's coming from United Kingdom and in only 2-3 Business Days!!!

However, my number one record and CDs(singles or mixed or unmixed albums) shopping site is www.planetxusa.com they are in Jersey, shipping is dirt cheap, my first order was for 50records and shipping was under $20.00 for 3day UPS, and total purchase price was something like $260.00-270.00. DIRT CHEAP. They constantly have stuff on clearance and special pricing(clearance is not necessarrily a bad records or something, it's their way of saying the items are on sale, that's all) Site is updated with new records Mon thru Friday by 6pm PST. Very long previews of every track on each record. AI catalog system which is pretty accurate. and shitload of records to browse thru. They get very genre and subgenre specific. and their reviews, 99% of them, are hilarious -- fair warning!!! hehehe, I fell off my chair a few times laughing so freaking hard after reading their reviews.

I would be really fishing for shit I really dont need/want if I were to buy 15-17 records at a time just to offset the cost of shipping....

Never dealt with Dancegrooves because their shipping charges seem very high as well.

Juno & Chemical has been great for me although Chemical has been a bit slower lately with delivery. Reasonable shipping costs to the U.S.

I have ordered form OD for close to a couple years now. I have had a problem once it was customs that screwed me over. My only complaint is the outragous price of shipping.

Please don't order from them so i can get my vinyl from them ffs .. i visit there shop ( not online but the real deal ) and all of the good vinyl is mostly sold out .. or is ordered by you guys .. pisse's me off

We here in Canada have been having a TERRIBLe time with Chemical. It took 38 days for my records to show up, it took my budy's 3 months to show up...
AS for OD.com, i've had nothing but good dealings with them. The records always arive on time from the other side of the world. IT costs a bloody fortune tho. Juno has also been good in my one or two dealings with them.
