SFTAs - RE: Armin Dinner - Make final say on place/time - AvB's manager needs to know

OK, Dave Lewis emailed me asking me what the plans are....

So, what place/time do ya want to do it?

Places:

Chevys or Jillians....

Chevy's is at 3rd and Howard about 4 blocks from 1015. Mexican, not overly noisy. Not really an exciting place.

Jillians is at 4th and Howard (part of the Metreon), about 3 blocks from 1015. Eh, style is various. Uplifting atmosphere. Can be a bit noisy. My personal choice.


Time:

I am thinking around 7:30pm or 8:00pm ... lemme know what works well for you!

We gotta make this quick cause we are getting so close. If people don't speak up over the course of today, I am just gonna make some command decisions.

hehe, the free chips.

Yeah, that's the downside with Jillians...but we can be dumb and rowdy there, too. I've actually been kicked out (with a group of people) at Chevy's before because we all (got real hammered on watermelon margaritas) were loud and wouldn't shut up.

Did you give him my email address? I've never contacted him before...was suprised to see him email me

Well, I suggest we go Chevy's, since the metreon is kind of a boring place to go, dark and not too cozy. Plus the metreon sort of distracts from the main point of the the event.

We should probably just do it at Chevys.

How does 7:30pm at Chevy's on Friday, sound? If it's OK, I'll call Chevy's and make reservations for around 7:15pm if it sounds good, so if Dave Lewis says they will be there at 7:30pm, we can all already be there!

anyways, me an Toscher will be in the city evening time(for a total of (2) two), so you can totally count us in for dinner, if its not too late to make it on the TA reservation table. We were just waiting for confirmation from a local Dj friend on our getting on the guest list for the event, since im a certified broke-@$$ mofo.

So it IS at Chevy's then? 7:30? Great.

edit: hope this is as much fun as the last TA meetup i went to, before PvD in Sydney, now THAT was a absofrigginlutely wonderful time!

Still waiting to hear back from Dave Lewis on confirming the place/time. Notified him last night, so hopefully he'll confirm today! Once it happens, I'll make the mad scramble of informing everyone.

Yep yep. I think we all should still go ahead and plan to be there.

It would really suck if he did reply but his mail servers or my company's mail servers decided to have problems with his email and that's why I haven't received anything.

It would REALLY suck if none of us showed up and he actually did...

So yeah, let's go ahead and be at Chevy's BY 7:30pm (I am gonna make reservations for 7:15pm...or let them know a large group is coming at least!

I got a reservation for 20 at Chevys at 7:30pm

Please do not be any later if you intend to come.

Note that the tab will have to be on one bill and there is automatic 18% tip added. Standard for this city.

Chevy's is not too expensive at all.

I hope your guys' meet with Armin goes better than ours did. Dave emailed Mindshifter the 2 days before asking where and when, we sent an email back and never got a response

Sorta the same scenario here. He emailed me early Wednesday (even though I wasn't the one handling this originally - I had never contacted Dave - and I don't know where he got my email address from unless he was reading these boards), I emailed him back later in the day with full details...and have heard nothing.

SF is small and any cab driver would know where the place are having it is...so not worried about them finding it.

I can hope. I mentioned that a number of the people attending were under 21 and it was going to be their only chance of seeing him since they can't get into the club....so maybe they'll make an extra effort.

I would rather go through the effort and hope and him not show up than NOT going and him actually showing up. That'd really suck!

And if he doesn't show up....I'll give a nice hello in the booth at 1015.

Hehe, but if he doesn't have email access how would have been able to read my email to get my cell#...

My default email signature actually has my cell# in it...I usually delete it out when responding to generic people, but i might have left it in for him anywyay.

hey guys just FYI Davis Lewis got back with me the DAY before the TA dinner/meetup here in Atlanta (which was Wednesday) so there may be hope for you yet

just make sure armin and david have been emailed details and I'm sure they'll try their best to work it in, although I can tell you it'll be tough on him I know he's pretty sick right now
