Hello!

this is good but one criticism I have is that there is too much going on in the buildup and it sounded a bit clashy to me..sorry i can't be more specific. Just seemed like there ws too much going on. But that might have been due to the 128 rip

i agree, it does sound a bit chaotic and reverby at some points, but that could be due to the mp3 indeed.

otherwise it's very good, lots of interesting elements and very uplifting as well. great job!

here goes

this sounds really well produced, very pro!

sounds very spacey at the start, kinda weird but cool!

some nice power behind the track!

percs, bass kicks etc all sit well within the track and go together quite well!

overall great track!

Am sorry, but i don't like this 1

I don't think its the sound of the mp3, just the sounds he took..

Let me tell you why i did not like this.

I really love the orignal, because of the melody and the power that the track has, and i really miss the power in yours..It's a savage of a melody and it needs to be heard LOUD !

but you know i have the MIDI, and i got stuck at giving the right sound for the lead, very hard to remix i think..

this 1 awesome remix imo. i understand what others are saying about too much thing in the buildup but to me this is really a good part , really uplifting.
very nice job

thanks guys, the 96k mp3 takes away from the track
also the build up is supposed to be hectic, when it kicks in it all becomes clear-this will work in a club!!!

thanks for the feedback

Good remix John, you know what I think

The 192 indeed sounds alot clearer, but still maybe quite reverby at places. This can of course be due to the amount of synths going on at the same time.

Laterz!
Wim

PS: switched to Logic already mate?

not switched totally, just using it for some synths and pads
that stuff u gave me is awesome

Just downloaded, 3 mins into listening, so far great stuff. =D

Yeah, I think some of the quality was lost in going to 96k, but I'd have to hear the 192 and compare.

Yeah, I agree, some great producers post their work in the TA forums, keep it up guys!!!

Thumbs up

thanks for remixing john!
I think its pretty nice, I like your take on the build, especailly all the litlle extras & fxs, really good work there.
The synth youve used (or fx) on the 'extra bit' on the breakdown is great, its achieved what we tried and failed to do. Have to agree with people of the reverb problem though, it does all merge into a bit of a montage at times, but still sounds ok.

Posted by JohnOC on Oct-17-2003 14:43:

no prob chris, thanks for the comments.
the reverby thing can be fixed pretty easy,if u guys want.but i think it gives atmosphere to the track-without it,its too dry.
the montage was the aim :P

Fuck Van Dyk

Loved the original so got high hopes for this one.

Nice clear intro, love the LFO'd bassline that comes in. Very Push like so far. Excellent effects, woah - the main bassline that comes in is incredibly good. My god this is brilliant, effects and riffs all over the shop whilst maintaining clarity. Hit the first break, very nice snare work, it's a shame to sit here typing as I listen I just wanna listen to this one. Give me five minutes to type whenever I feel necessary ...

WOW! The breakdown is heavenly, maybe a bit too much reverb but is increibly detailed. This is reminding me how much I digged the original - LOVE the drop back into it all, and how you said it all becomes more clear.

This is an insane remix. Now get this, and the original off to a decent label.

I liked the original track so much that I started off my most recent digital mix (Mix 13) with it:

http://music.globalbeatz.net/dj-mix-mp3/1826

You did a nice remix of the track, but my preference lies with the original. My only nitpick is that something's a bit odd with your high end, a few people have mentioned that reverb might be the problem.

Try tweaking it a little maybe? I think it could possibly be the volume of your high fill and melody, might just need to be turned down slightly.

Daaaaaaaaaamn John I'm so impressed man! I havent heard anything from you in a long time and wow how you've improved!

I have not ONE single complaint with this tune, I thnik everything from the samples, effects & the buildup are incredible! I want a 192kps!!! GIMME GIMME GIMME!!!!!

I definetly think the 'reverb problem' is due to the low bitrate, and I'm sure the 192 sounds crystal. Now honestly, can you guys get serious and send the original and this to a decent label???

Posted by DANNY M on Oct-18-2003 18:44:

WOW! what can i say... this track has got so much energy it should be sold in a can!!!!

Lovin it lovin it lovin it

The breakdown.... phew... arms in the air! Pure Passion track this is!

I will most deffinately be giving this a hammering at M.O.T!on North on thursday night! (thats if you dont mind)

Quality track... well done
