I'll reserve judgement on the album but way of life is a horrible tune and the technasia remixes are even worse

Cover looks very nice

ur absolutely right...I just copied and pasted the information from some online source...the way of life is indeed gash!!

I don't know who was "anticipating" this, but I think it blows.

hawtin's album is out soon aswell, bit of a head to head kinda for richie & dave , pair already despise each other enuf

Posted by chesco on Oct-16-2003 09:44:

hawtin is far superior than dave clarke both at dj'ing and producing

richie hawtin's - minus orange is one of the best techno tunes around.

way of life is a joke. Why does clarke not just leave dj rush to make these vocal techno productions instead of trying to use rush's vocals and put them over one of his stupid old school sounding tunes - come into the year 2000, leave old school where it belongs - and then plaster his name all over it.

i hate dave clarke

Very good album and Way of Life is also one of the greatest tunes at all. And what regards Dave Clarke's mixing - he's the BEST!!!

I don't think you're very objectif in your report about the vinyl, first of all i don't think you heard the devil's advocate and i think it's a VERY stupid remark when you say "hawtin is far superior than dave clarke both at dj'ing and producing", it's not because you like minus orange that it's so that the producer skills of hawtin are higher than daves. Hawtin is playing with Final Scratch and that's making his mixes very easier.

Very stupid remark imho (sorry for my english)

Posted by chesco on Oct-17-2003 19:06:

first of all, world service has 1 tune on it which is his own.

second of all, hawtin is bringing new technologies to the dj'ing scene and as so many say he is pushing the boundaries of what can be done in a dj performance. i personally quite enjoy some of the slower trippy tunes he plays.

third of all dave clarke thinks he is the be all and end all of techno when hes really no where near the be all and end all.

and finally richie hawtin has made many more tunes that i like other than world service.

ps picotto is better than both of them anyway

That says it. There's no sence to argue with you.

I think that your opinion can't be taken seriously, because you don't even want to hear anything from Dave Clarke's producing and/or dj'ng...
You should listen to his sets...for example Dave Clarke - live at Time Warp 2003 (maybe you have heard it). And for example red2 is still beyond time, despite it's from 1996.
Chris Liebing has also used Final Scratch for quite a long time now and I have nothing against it. Although Sven Väth told him that vinyls are the real things... it's everbodys own choise what they use.
It's pretty obvious that we're into different syles of techno.
If you don't like his dj'ng style & producing, then don't, but it's stupid to make statements like Hawtin wipes the floor with Dave Clarke and Way of Life is a joke...
Yes mauro Picotto is very good, I also like him...but still nobody beats Dave Clarke. That's my opinion offcourse...
End of discussion as you prefer to say.

I'm not looking for an argument here. alls i'm saying is I hate dave clarke. i know he does have his fans, but i'm not one of them.

Posted by GT40 on Oct-20-2003 10:06:

I like Way Of Life but the album Im not sure.

He is a good dj but does he have to hit the fx button 10 million times a set.

He live set was poor at Creamfields but I still think he's quality overall/

Yeah ofcourse, picotto is a wannabe techno DJ, with NO SKILLs at all. He will never be a proper techno DJ in my eyes.

Posted by GT40 on Oct-20-2003 11:36:

Comapred with the technical djs Picotto is no where near but he always plays a good tracklist in his set and that what matters in the end of the day, there are some brilliant technical djs but they play such shit tunes and at the end of the day he is not a shit dj either is and his productions are superb, if people deny that they are idiots.

Posted by Ste on Oct-20-2003 12:07:

dave clarke is a complete tit.

WRONG!!!!

picotto is a dj who likes to incorporate techno into his sets. he has never claimed to be a techno dj.

To be a techno dj you'd first of all have to have a shite attitude, be fat and ugly or of african descent and pretend you are better than every body else who you talk too.

but i can say for sure that he is making a lot of friends within the techno industry, almost as fast as dave clarke is losing them (due to his "i'm better than everyone" attitude).

Dave clarke is wank.

dave clarke live - that would be the most boring thing i've ever seen.
