Downloading...

I'm interested to hear what you've done with this. I found the acapella on the net awhile and thought about using it for a track. The vocals are great.

I'll post up after I listen.

Nice work with the vocals here! The effects you used sound great. Overall I like the feel of the song but there's a couple things I noticed:

The snare sounds a bit chinsy. Maybe use a clap or a snare with more reverb or something. The bass sounds good, but it's rather simple. This could go either way though, because the simplicity makes for a nice feel. However, maybe try making the bassline a bit more interesting. Also..the track doesn't really go anywhere. Besides the vocals there isn't much to grab you and pull you in.

At any rate, like I said I really like what you did with the vocals. Also, the strings are very nice and fit perfectly in there. This is a pretty chill song and the production is qutie good.
Keep up the good work!

yeah, sorry for you dial-uppers, it may take a while cause its at 192kbps, but its pretty good (if i dont say so myself)..

ps, thanks blake - i indeed worked with a couple different basslines and decided to make the track simple. there are actually three basslines playing, but the simplest one is the dominant. same thing with melodies, there is quite a bit written in there, but the vocals sound so nice uncluttered, i didnt want to overdo it. should i make the acoustic guitar louder (or the synths or the piano or the pad)? i want it to be chill but i dont want it to be boring. i know it doesnt really go anywhere, but its not exactly a trancer. if you think its too boring just playing through, let me know some ideas, maybe i'll just shorten it or something. thanks for the thought on the snare. it is a bit much, i guess i've just been listening to it for so long i didnt notice if it fit anymore. i'll look into changing that. thanks for the feedback! if you've anything you want feedback on, pm me.

Ok, very well produced tune. I'm not sure I'm liking the way it starts off, something about the percussion...maybe a stronger kick? I really like the effects you've done on the vocals... very impressive. Otherwise it's a simple tune overal, not much to it. But I like

Posted by Floorfiller on Oct-16-2003 16:11:

i agree...the percussion is a little weird. also to be honest i don't think the vocals really work here...they are a little too fast. everything sounds a little messy because i think its a little to fast...if you slow it down a bit it would probably sound better...l

thanks for all the feedback!

im diggin this tune very much. the effects on the vocals are real nice, the pad is real nice as well. I agree the percussion is a bit weird at times and it seems like the bass drums cancel out within eachother at times other than that, very well produced tune and keep up the good work

This is really good

I'm a fan of the original track, and this really does it justice

I'll agree with everyone else that the vocal effects are wicked but I would love to hear this with a funkier bass line
percussion is superb tho

Glad i could help...

Posted by nickmahoney on Oct-19-2003 21:30:

thanks again everybody.

i think i'm going to work on a non-progressive mix (maybe a club mix or a deep mix), id love feedback there too.

if anyone is interested in any part of this track, let me know. (ie if anyone wants the vocals for their own Pleasures)...

nothing would make me happier than if someone used this in some sets (besides me )...

well, it is a full version for sure and it is fully mastered. i am working on another project (or ten ) but as you can tell i'm prolly doing a different version of this track, so while this version is complete, another version will surface...
