Pro-53 automation not working in FLStudio

Hey guys, just wondered if any of you Fl'ers have had any issues with your Pro-53 not allowing automation? For instance no events will be recored from this device and the "Link To Controller" option is disabled. Quite fustrating!

At the moment i've got by from using the a low pass filter vst.. quite limiting though..

Any help will be very much appreicated!

Have u tried clicking the square thing at the top left of the window and selecting something under edit events?
Ive not used fl in ages so i cant remember if it works or not

Edit events is also disabled. I've managed to be able to edit the events in the Pro-53 via the Fruity Generator 'MIDI-Out' by setting both the Pro and the MIDI-Out to the same port and mapping the correct controller number on the MIDI-Out...

Is this how everyone else does it?

you are opening it as a DXI,open the VST one, DXI can not automate

I have a question, I didn't want to make a new topic out of it, but how excactly can I record automation for any vst instrument in FL studio? ( I'm new at this ) I can't right click the buttons on the vst itself, so how can I go about this? How do I record/change VSTi automation?

press the little plug icon, top left corner in the fruity wrapper of your vst plugin, then edit event and choose the event you wish to automate. it can be useful to do this in a separate pattern so you can move the automation where you want in the playlist.

there is a easier way though, sometimes it can be annoying to find that knob you seek to automate with that edit event thing in the warper..

So what you do is..Press the record button on(next to play and stop buttons) and press play than, move the knob you wanne automate just a little, than stop playing..

Now if all goes right, you can see the automation in the Current projects..

You can automate from there further, it works
