Misja Helsloot should have more respect IMO

Unfortunatley There are not even many ppl who even know this Great DJ.
My opinion is that his sets are mindblowing , he has great mixing skills and great tracklists ( even better than Armin who is my favorite DJ atm but not for long after hearing Misja )
Misja plays pure beautiful trance, his sets on trancewaves are amazing, i realy want to hear him live already.
If he were a bit more known worldwide i would bet that he be in the top 5 however he does not have much recognition :/

I wonder why is that he is not well known ? and why is he underestamated ?

yeah i agree
i was thinking just the same this morning
why wouldn't ID&T organize a party with dj's like Misja Helsloot, Lange, Jon O Bir, Scott Bond etc
it could be even beter if they performed at Innercity rather than Tiesto and Paul Van Dyk, which are always the ones to be picked.
ID&T should stop looking at the names and start looking for quality sets

I do enjoy Misja's sets on TAW, they are always contain something different from all the armin/pvd/tiesto wannabes that are broadcasted on that station.

yeah, Misja is THE man. I love him since he played in Bucharest almost 2 years ago. Was one of the greatest nights for me, and besides that he is a very cool guy, after the show we talk, and since then we remain sort of friends, getting in touch by email or so. He is very down to earth, and I love his mixing and his work. Keep up the good work Misja.

maybe coz only a select few people think he's the bee's knees and he prabably plays tunes too similar to other big dj's for anyone to bother with him....

Do you think ID&T would make enuff money throwing parties with those kind of djs? When hardstyle is perhaps the most popular genre in Holland at the moment? And almost all the djs you mentioned are UK trance djs that 80% have never heard of? I think you see my point.

Don't get me wrong I wish ID&T would throw parties like these too, but you have to be realistic bout these things.

I agree.. there are a hand-ful of "Trance" djs that put out better sets than some of the big-namers. Misja's sets have a beautiful flow to them, something that some of the big-namers have been lacking lately...and playing some Unknown tunes is always great for us!

yes i acutally do belive that
misja helsloot is pretty known in holland, everyone has seen his name somewhere, so that'll attract at least some people

yay! misja is very good IMO too! but he's just like j00f, so fucking underrated! too bad really! i love listening to his sets and i love some of his productions too! his remix of miika kuisma's orion is massive!

when is the next time he's on TAW? gotta tune in if i can!

Posted by Omegasox on Oct-16-2003 18:55:

I don't think he's that underrated.

Misja is a funny guy, but really nice. must go see him more often

Misja

Misja Helsoot is a really cool person and totally nice down to earth guy. oh, and he is VERY talented. I have as many of his mixes as I can find in the playlist of my station, and also you can check out Misja live on Tranceairwaves (www.tranceairwaves.com) where he is a monthly resident.

Also Misja has a weekly show every Saturday on an online station called Trancesistor radio (www.trancesistor.com)

I agree. Misja IS good.

I really enjoyed his ITWT 007,went out of my way to buy it!

Misja is a great producer and has kick ass tracklist, but the one time I did hear his set live on TranceAirwaves his mixing was not that great. He's definately gonna be one of the big boys in about 5 years though!

peace.

Steve

I think this is what kept him out of the spotlight for a while. There were a few sets I had heard from him where the mixing was sort of half ass, but here of late all the sets I've heard from him have been absolute quality. No doubt he'll be near the top in a few years.

Posted by Joca on Oct-17-2003 02:06:

Misja isn't underated in my books. They few sets i've heard from him have been quality. Like others have stated his mixing can be off. He plays a lot of different tracks that hardly any of the big name dj's spin. Hopefully he'll get more recognition in the future.

His productions are pretty good as well and he's a pretty nice guy as well. I emailed Gesture Music looking for a copy of "Ozone - Ionize" because I liked Misja's remix so much. Misja emailed me back saying he had some extra copies lying around and that he would send it to me for nothing. He also signed it too

Yeah I just discovered this guy's got some talent quite recently. I can't remember the exact name of the track it was very smooth and different to the tracks the big namers played..
