TA party at the WMC?

I was talking with a fellow board member and we both had this epiphany at the same time.

we are maybe dreaming (and i dont know if this idea had been spewed out before), but it would be awsome if this could be pulled off.

I would love to get a TA party organized for the WMC '04 in Miami this spring.
It would be crazy. If anyone on these boards has connections with the clubs down there, I would love to get something together.
We could throw a huge party the night after the Ultra festival. If anyone is interested in helping organize this please PM me.
Tons of us TAers would convene to Miami and take it over for a week.
How many of you guys are interested in this and do you think it can be pulled off?

yes, it's kind of expensive to travel to the US all from norway...

Yea, but many airlines usually have special offers on US flights (like for Miami or NY), so it might not be as expensive as one might think.

what week in march is it?

usually the third week in march. the dates should be announced in about a month. if you can get there it is well worth the experience.

yeah, thats what I heard too... I've talked to a guy here that has been to WMC, Mykonos and Ibiza, he says WMC is by far the best of all three, with Ibiza being the worst...

the one place i want to hit really badly though is the full moon party in thailand, i heard that's just pure insanity

but yes, wmc is an amazing experience..get ready to not have any sleep whatsoever...your just going to PARTY!!! PARTY!!! PARTY!!!....

As butterfly said, dates aren't actually posted yet, but they will be soon and the WMC is normally 3rd week of March.

This could be very awsome. I'd love to meet the TAers from around the world. Especially the man who got this fine site together mr. swamper.

I need to talk to some Miami TAers so i can work on getting htis together.

weve got a thread going in the Florida local forum about this. the idea has been discussed, with lots of positive response.

once dates are announced, plans kick into high gear. I bet well have one @ WMC 04

can't we just get permission from a hotel and have a pool party there? Last year we were at the Ramada and they let my friends thrwo a day party there, with tables near the pool, and us dancing all over.

It might be hard to get a club to throw a specific event, during the biggest week of the year for them. But a hotel knows it has clients in for the event and will maybe cater to our needs.

3rd week of March is always the date, that March 22nd - 27th. That's a tentative date, so don't cofirm. But it is a date to plan towards.

Hope to see everyone there!! Let try to get everyone in the same hotel too!! We were at the Ramada for a bit, then went to the Days in on 22nd (?) I think.

Id definately be down... I'll probably be there for sure. One thing tho... WMC week is just shy of the big 18 for me... would this be a problem for any place you might rent? Or is age restrictions usually left up to the promoters?

If we get it at a club then you might get jipped out of going, since most clubs in Miami are 21+. But if we can get it at a hotel pool or something like that, then you are set.

Either way WMC @ 18 is still better then 18 @ home.

I'm making the voyage from Seattle, so I'll be there. Would love to help in anyway possible -

never mind i could probably make it this year not a bad idea....but of course i wanna hit some clubs where theres gonna be some hip hop video whores or it wont be worth making the trip :P

Actually I have a lot of respect for P Diddy now. He's given millions of his own money to innercity school children, and he's running in the NY marathon to raise even more money. Oh yeah and he likes trance/house music.


p.s. I reaaaaaaaaaaaly want to go to WMC (especially the new pacha).

Would love to attend, but money is always an issue. And are people going to be going down just for the weekend? Wouldn't be able to go during the week due to classes.

lol Dave where are you getting this info on p diddy! He likes trance and house whaaaaaa?? lol Lets get up N' Lets get ILLLLL hheheheh . I think a MASSIVE ta meetup in Miami would be so sweet. If that got arranged that would be soooo freakin cool. WMC 04 is gonna be pure madness for me cuz I finally turned 21 this year so I can make a whole week long entourage out of it and can actually get into the clubs this time around... Its still SOOO far away though!!

anyway, a hotel party would be cool. if we got enough people together who were definate about going we could get a whole floor of a hotel booked then throw a pool party or whatever at the hotel.

i was thinking we could throw a club party, or have something organized with some club promoters, (I can work with some people here in LA who would want to throw a party down there during the WMC) and get a TA thing organized at a club there so we can get all the TAers in for free and a TA VIP lounge set up or something and then have like a huge trance DJ spin at the club (avb or tiesto or g&d or whoever)
