yeah downloaded this a while back ! Zabs goes absolutely nuts with the scratching. Everyone who saw him at the Arthouse this year would agree, that it was one the most enthrawling dj performances ever.

I'm guessing this is wrong as firstly thats not the queens bday long weekend, and secondly there is no Saturday May 16 . . .
It should actualy be Saturday June 12. Fkn morons, had me worried for a moment!

efx + trans effect + cdj1000 scratching = zabielas scratching

at 43 seconds check out the efx box (thing with flashing lights) notice the last one is flashing, that is trans, on the 1/1 time (which why the scratching goes in time with the music), on the other side of the efx is the jet function, which is similar to a flanger.

anyone with a decent mixer that has send and receive on it can be playing a vinyl on 1 deck, and playing a vinyl on the deck and effecting it using trans etc and just moving it back and forward and have it sound similar.

Yeah, and for the 4 months I had a efx-500 I really got close to being @ his level

Who else do you know who's put the time/effort into being able to do it?

i give biiiig props to zabiela..

not many dudes that mix that style of tunage werq the mixer/fx etc anywhere near as much as he does.. mostly it can be annoying too but when zabiela does it- oh yeeeah it's wicked!

his tunes are good too and he's pretty hot so yeah i'd rate him as hella goood!
