Split cue monitoring and Behringer DJX700

Hi all,

I've have my Behringer DJX700 for almost 2 months now, and I've lately, I've been trying new things, such as using split cue to beatmatch.

When it's in split cue mode the master channel/song is on the right headphone and whatever I'm cueing comes out of the left headphone.

My question is, the left headphone is MUCH MUCH louder than the right headphone (the master). Is it supposed to be like that, or do I have something defective?

thanks

I have a Behringer VMX-200, it doesn't do that.

does your mixer have the option of split cue monitoring?

its much louder because the master volume fader is not on the upper level....fade the master more up and its louder on the headphone

correct

the program will be quieter because it is dependant on the master fader position....
Also check there is no pot allowing you to select thebalance between master/cue for the split cue...

You will also find that as soon as you put the cued fader up, the other side will increase again- as it is now part of the master and will appear in the other side too.

My master fader is ALWAYS at the top. I never even hit the yellow area though.

My channel faders are usually around the middle, depending on how loud I'm playing.

I was thinking that it was supposed to both songs would be evenly loud on both sides... It's quite noticeable

master fader

hey bro, i have a djx-700 as well. i have my decks going through channels 2 and 3 at 3/4 volume. in my bedroom, i run my audio through the booth output and adjust the level accordingly. that allows me to put the master volume all the way without pissing off my parents when they sleep. hope this helps.
