Was bedeutet folgendes auf Englisch? Ich hatte Probleme es zu übersetzen:

Er faltet, um die Ähnlichkeit noch vollkommener zu machen, seine Hände über den goldenen Knöpfchen, die seinen Bauch verschliessen, und gibt sich einer beharrlichen Betrachtung der Luft hin, dem Spiel der Sonnenstäubchen und wahrschainlich einigen Gedanken, die sein Privatleben berühren dürften.

Also: he folds his hands around the golden buttons to make the similaritz more (perfect?) which closes his stomach.....

But the translation by google is sh*t.

I can't really say what it exactly means, but maybe I can help you with the meaning.

"gibt sich einer beharrlichen Betrachtung der Luft hin...." means that he is steadily watching the air, the play / game of the "sundust" (dunno why that word is used hier, but that translation is very close), and probably some thoughts which might concern his private life.

I Would say it nearly that way:

He folds, in order to make the similarity still more perfect, his hands over the golden (little Buttons on his clothes), which lock its belly, and gives oneself to a persistent view of the air, the play of the Sun-Dust and maybe some thoughts, which might affect his private life.

guess that's the best translation i've read so far

anyway, the text is even difficult for most germans..
i'm currently reading some similar sh*t @ school
