Question What is your favorite beer?

Seeing as it is the time of year for beer (hey that rhymed!) and Oktoberfest figured I'd ask the TOTA crew "What is your favorite beer"?

List your top 3 Canadian and internaltional brews.

Note - if you prefer to drink other beverages - please save comments on such for another thread - danke!

My top 3 Canadian beers are (in no specific order):

Cameron's Cream Ale
Creemore Springs Premium Lager
Bigrock Grasshopper Wheat

My top 3 international beers are (in no specific order):

Sint Jozef Brussels White - private import only
Anchor Liberty Ale
Schneider Weisse Weizenhell ("Hefeweizen")

Ok, those are my picks. As you can tell - my tastes are all over the map - but as I tend to gravitate towards the weizen (wheat beer) and maltier ales/lagers.

Word.

Cameron's, Moosehead, and Keith's are alright for Canadian, but I'm not crazy about either compared to the "imports".

I hear that Stella Artois is kin to Blue or Canadian in Europe as far as quality/brand-image? Having never been to Belgium - is that the case? (Interbrew brews Stella [Interbrew owns Labatts]).

Do you have a favorite craft beer (microbrew)?

Posted by The Highroller on Oct-20-2003 01:23:

Carlsberg.

True, Stella is the working man;s beer in belgium, its not really well liked at all there.
they prefer other beers like Leffe and one other i cant remember...

I did a business case on launching stella as interbrews global product this year at school.

ya im a nerd

Is not a true import. It's brewed by Labatts.

Carlsberg
Tyskie (best Polish beer imo, LCBO just began importing this)

I've tried searching but this isn't enough information to help me - and I can't find what you're looking for.

There is a non-german beer called lowgarden that comes in a light blue can and has two lions standnig up on hinds against the logo.. Maybe I'm not getting the name right - but I can see the can in my head and I'll get the name for you tomorrow.
