CDRwin problem :(

I need help with this program!! I downloaded it, installed it, all that good stuff. I load the cuefile, and it loads fine. But when I hit "record disc" an error message comes up that says, "Error: 'WRITE' command failed on device 1:1:0
Illegal command request (04h 00h 02h 05h 20h 00h)"

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I know CDR-Win like the back of my hand and that error means get a new burner or get one that will run CDR-Win. Only a selected few can handle the program since it is such a new kind of technology. My burner is a 32x's, $50 cheap LG one and it runs CDR-Win fine. Even has CD Text.

LOL you're wrong, strange you know it like the back of your hand you said, better check your hand you might have missed something lol, what that error means is that another program is using the device and CDRwin wasn't able to get access to it you can do two things, you can go to their website HERE and see if your Cdrom is compatible with it if it is, it might be another program using the device for example if you have any of this programs
Nero
Adaptec
WinOnCD
install right now in your system they might be causing the problem, Another thing is that you might have forgoten to install the ASPI Drivers you can find them at the same site stated above.

here is a website that might help you with this errors Help Site hope this helps

well if you get the same error, something is using the CDRW drive and is not letting it use it, another thing is you said you have trouble playing the CD's, them it might the buffer underun might be on don't ask me why but if I turn on buffer underrun, and burn above 32x the cd won't even play or it will work and in the middle it will start to skip; so what I do is turn off buffer underun if your system is fast enough there is no need to turn that option on and now I can burn at 52x without any audio problems or you might be burning to fast and your processor might not be fast enough to keep up try burning at lower speeds hope this helps
